You see guys going clench fist at the ball in an attempt to knock it out before a try is scored all the time you dope.

What do you want him to do poke the ball with his finger? Does that suggest going for the ball?

And they strike at the ball to punch it out. But not with a stiff arm and fist that isnt directed at the actual ball. In this case it connected with the head.

Well its good to know bronco supporters are as one eyed as any other supporter.

Stiff arm with clenched fist does not suggest going for the ball.

What would suggest he's going for the ball? He clearly aimed his arm at Bailey's ball carrying arm.

In that situation, Hoffman has clearly thrown himself full stretch leaving him with little flexibility. With one arm, he's got no other option but blindly throw out an arm to strike the ball.

He missed, 8 point try sufficient.

TBH, Hoffman would make a terrible Space Invaders player. He should have aimed where he was going, not where he was.

I agree with most when they say there looks to be no malice in Hoff or in that particular incident.

I just cant agree with the bolded bit above so I do accept Im looking at it the incident predominantly technically.
