Conn job has Titans seething

GOLD Coast enforcer Luke Bailey launched a stinging attack on Canberra Raider Michael Weyman - labelling him a "cheap-shot merchant and a liability".
The bitter assessment comes after a spiteful finish to Saturday night's 32-12 whipping of Canberra, in which Weyman was sent off for a brutal punch on Titans back-rower Daniel Conn in the 67th-minute.
In an explosive aftermath to the match, an enraged Conn approached Weyman to vent his spleen and was restrained by teammates after exchanging words with his assailant.
The Raider is expected to be hit with a hefty striking charge that could sideline him for up to eight weeks.
A filthy Gold Coast camp labelled the 114kg Raider a "dog" and called for the NRL judiciary to throw the book at him after Conn was left with a nasty wound to his right eye and nose socket.
"He has a brain-snap whenever he gets tired, which happens quite regularly," Bailey fired.
"He's only good for five to 10 minutes of the game. He always costs (Canberra) more than he pleases them."
Bailey believes Weyman should be given a lengthy ban, declaring he breached an unwritten players code with his "cheap" hay-maker.
"It was another cheap shot," Bailey said. "It's one of those things in rugby league that's very disappointing.
"That is a king hit. Conny was just having a bit of a push and he just threw it straight away - that's a king hit, regardless of whether he's looking or not.
"His hands were down, that's a cheap shot and I'm sure it will be dealt with accordingly. He'll have to think about it when he's sitting on the sidelines and it's not the first time he's done that."
Conn will not support Weyman's defence at any judiciary hearing, arguing there was no provocation to the hit that landed him a nasty shiner.
"It was a brain-snap," Conn said. "I thought the tackle was legit, he just got up and snapped. I think justice will be done, he'll go to the judiciary and get exactly what he deserves.
"I'll be filthy if I have to miss a week for someone doing that to me."
Match review committtee chairman Greg McCallum said the incident could be refered straight to the judicary.
"We will compare it to some other incidents," he said. "We'll see how it compares to the David Fa'alogo hit."
Meanwhile, "several" Eels players are in danger of being charge for a lifting tackle.

I agree completely with Bailey. Weyman basically does nothing for us, except get penalised, drop the ball or negaitvely affects the team in general.
Surely with the 10 man interchange, and his ability to last 5 minutes on the field, he shouldnt be re-signed whenever his contract expires.
Thoughts?
