It's unfortunate you're the moderator fos this section otherwise I'd bring this thread back at the end of the season to humiliate you. No doubt it will be deleted when Balmain crash out at the hands of Newcastle. :D

LOL please tell me you're going to be silly enough to bet on the Balmain v Newcastle game again this year?

I think I could open a bar with all the drinks you owe me :p

Big call. I haven't kept pace much with PL trials this year but I am ooking forward to the comp.

Maybe we should do a preview thing here.

Coach is Jody Rudd - former balmain sg ball (might have been Matts actually) and WT Cubs squad coach, also a former Balmain player best remembered for being the victim of one of the most sickening knee injury I've ever seen.

Newtown will be a stronger team this year with a lot of depth. They'll challenge for the finals.

Brook, Balmain are dead!

Your thread should have read "BRET - Pride of Gladesville, Premier League runners up to the MIGHTY NEWTOWN JETS!"

we aren't dead yet - we still have flegg (until next year I guess)

at the moment I'm ignoring the ryde-eastwood bit until I'm forced to face it

and thats a grandfinal I'd love to see but you've got the wrong winner :D

manly will give it a big shake
we made the prelim last year
and with the improved depth our club has we should be stronger

Blokes like Travis Burns
Kane Cleal
Mitch creary
Darren Peachey
Jeff Robson and co and you'll probably even see hoppa or williamson play the odd game in reggies this year.

GO the seags

Manly were big surprises last year and I think that can continue. Newtown will have unprecedented depth (as I said earlier) with a lot of speed in the backs and a pack that won't tire easy.

Can we collate all our names for the BRET?

Gladesville Utd
Putney Pride
Meadowbank Maulers
Victoria Rd Vikings

I think it's a pretty safe bet to assume that I have absolutely no intention on paying up and the fact that I took bets I knew I was going to lose was for the sole purpose of getting you drunk......................... that's the exuse that I've decided to run with anyway :p

They're your words, not mine.

To me Newcastle will always be more superior. They're just in a bit of a rut is all
