If the deal was done and announcement made now sure, 2 years would be enough. But the longer it drags on the harder it becomes. There is plenty of time to still bring them in for 2027

why? its the nrl's club so they would have a massive advantage to set a club up over a private model fending for themselves. for all we knows nrl probably has the admin in mind contacted and ready to set up and it just needs to push go.If the deal was done and announcement made now sure, 2 years would be enough. nah my love us only extended to you my west aussie pork chop, you're one of the goodun's who doesnt make silly claims about hidden garden coffee dates with secret sources for info or get a stiffy eachtime certain posters post.I think he loves you.
why are you one of only a handful posters in this thread with common sense? What would be the difference now as opposed to say May ?
One difference is will be the turn around time to complete the works at Ken Allen to have a functioning center for the club. What would be the difference now as opposed to say May ?

Any approval of funds and works required I doubt will go ahead until the deal is done.
Its currently not up to standard for an SG Ball side to train.
Yes the temporary facility is Ken Allen, but it still needs work and that takes time. I'd have though all junior reps would be looking to start for next summer before NRL admission. Building works approvals don't fly out the door.I thought they were going to have a temporary training facility elsewhere whilst the permanent training facility is completed ….located in Fremantle according to this ? It’s a $25 m spend so we aren’t talking about a massive project right ? Would need to be completed November 2026 ?

theres a lot of moving parts:What would be the difference now as opposed to say May ?
5 months behind again with your cumins love affair. move on perthwrongs, ding dongtheres a lot of moving parts:
Development of the temp training facilities at Ken Allen
HBF Park major upgrade
They still have to recruit a board, then a CEO and GM's, then a head coach, then finally they can think about players
and set up for Hm ball, SG ball, NSW cup if they decide we need a WA side in those comps
So every month that goes by the harder to get all those things in play by Feb 2027 KO. We are already 5 months behind where we could have been.

Isn't the lower tiers all being played by the North Sydney Bears? I swear I read that a few months back. The Perth local talent would ply their trade in WANRL or move over to the east. Given how the Pirates development went, I'd think a Bears model would be better.theres a lot of moving parts:

I'd suggest delays just push WA Bears and PNG 'Whatevers' timeframes closer together. Both will be out to secure the best available coaches, trainers, CEOs, ect. Whoever gets their feet on the ground running earlier will have more time to get the pick of those willing and available.
Both will be in competition with the other current 17 clubs for these things anyway, plus players, but moreso initially, these two are in direct competition with eachother four the all important 'foundation' key people to give themselves the best possible start.
PNG, despite starting a year later than WA will, have the early headstart, in that they have already been announced as a licence holder. They have the earliest opportunity to make inquiries to potential coaches, ect. The longer they delay doing so, and I'm sure they already are doing work quietly in the background, but the longer they don't sign up the key positions, the closer the WA announcement gets, and then the race will be on.
This is all logical, and I think the Bears need much more time to establish than, say the Dolphins.I'd suggest delays just push WA Bears and PNG 'Whatevers' timeframes closer together.
