Killswitch Engage. Had the chance to see them, but something came up and I couldn't go. And God knows when they'll come back.

Also, I was really looking forward to watching Irrelevant play as a warm-up for One Dollar Short...:fist:

KSE is tough, adam D seems to have a hectic reoccuring back injury. not that anything of the new album would be worth seeing. they covered holy diver by DIO which was good.

Irrelevant, your not missing much dude, songs that sounds the same for 35 minutes. plus they have lost their original guitarists aswell.

Soundgarden!!!!

Going to see Chris Cornell next month though and apparently he will be doing quite a few Soundgarden songs with the Linkin Park band. The down side is I then have to sit through Linkin Park

Stone Temple Pilots & Alice In Chains.

Was too young for the latter when they came out in about 92 or 93 an it was just as I started going through THAT phase of Nrivana, AIC, Soundgarden etc.

STP were always my fav band when i was a teenager and I kept on hearing they were coming (last time was meant to be for BDO 2002) and it never eventuated.

just leave.

A few years ago when Garbage supported Alanis Morrisette my sis's best friend went cos she LOVES Alanis and the number of people who left after Garbage was incredible.

Same thing happened last year when I went to Story Of The Year. I only went because Flogging Molly were the support and I would have stayed but I was that pissed off that I had my camera confiscated I baled as soon as Flogging Molly had finished.

Again, just leave after Chris Cornell. I'm suprised he isn't doing a solo show up your way. He's playing an additional show in Melbourne.

Yea it's pretty dissapointing he isn't playing a solo, but rock is pretty dead in NZ at the moment. It's all hip hop and pop.

I reckon I'll stay for the atmosphere, should be pretty awesome....

Oh, didn't see you were from across the ditch. Damn shame that you don't seem to get any bands worthwhile except for Big Day Out which is also descending into rubbish these days!

Yea pretty much aye! And I'm in Wellington, where no-one bothers coming to anymore. I'm hoping Incubus come back here though, even though their last couple of CDs have been pretty poor.

I actually interviewed Brandon and Mike when they were here earlier this year. Nice guys.

And Lesstar, yes, I love STP too

For those mentioning Led Zep, they have been announced as headlining some tribute concert in London in November, with Bonham's son playing drums. Demand for tickets is so high that they are going via a lottery system.

There are rumours of a reunion tour next year if all goes well...

I like KSE's new stuff.

As for Irrelevant - I know. My cousin used to be their original bassist, and that's the main reason I was supporting them. They've gone down the sh*tter since. :D

Youinspired me yesterday Eelementary. I was doing a workout at home and decided to chuck on The End of Heartache while I was doing it.

Good album.

I think so too. What I like about it is that it's not super aggressive heavy (nothing wrong with good, super aggressive music - love it!), but it's quite melodic and the music is, at times, sublime.

Plus I really rate Howard Jones' vocal abilities.
