Lol at everyone that thinks this is somehow going to end up with Greenberg being stood down over the 2013 shit. Reports at the time were that the Bulldogs wanted to take her to the police to make a formal complaint but she refused because of the effect on his career

Once she refused to admit that something happened they couldn't do a hell of a lot

He should have stayed in England.
His antics post G/F helped put a damper on the GF win in 2016.
Comes a time in every man's life(and he is supposedly a mature male) to grow up and for one to act responsibly to your partner and fellow man/woman/child.
Everyone deserves a 2nd chance unless it is a capital offence. But no 3 ,it's sayonara, you are not welcome period.
I am sick to all of my organs of these chumps, continually stuffing up and dragging the game down.
Im all for giving a second chance in the vast majority of cases. If you commit a crime that results in prison time, you should not get that second chance.
Any other offence after that which warrants police action and found guilty, deregistration for life.
The vast majority of fans have had a gutful of this behaviour. This off-season should really be the last straw.

NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg says he can't see Ben Barba returning to the competition after his sacking by the Cowboys over an alleged assault.

Barba had his contract terminated by the North Queensland without playing a single game for the club on Friday night, following allegations he physically assaulted his partner at a Townsville Casino on Australia Day.

"We have run out of patience and tolerance for misbehaviour off the field and I will repeat again that violence against women is the very top of that list," Greenberg said on Saturday.

"If you're violent against women you can expect to be removed from the game. It starts now.

"I haven't seen the footage as yet but if it shows violence against a woman there can be no debate. Ben Barba will be out of the NRL immediately and I can't see him ever returning.

"Certainly if the evidence is there he won't return under my watch.

"I issue this warning to players again. The game has changed and community expectations are clear. We won't tolerate misbehaviour and the sanctions will be strong, especially for violence against women.

"We had a brilliant 2018 on the field, but quite frankly the off-season has been a complete train wreck."

Greenberg applauded North Queensland's swift action in terminating Barba's contract.

"He's just come back from his second illicit drugs strike and clearly he was on his last chance. The Cowboys have acted decisively and that's the kind of leadership the game needs."

More to come

So
Greenmerk hasn’t seen the footage yet.
You’d think that hopeless prick would’ve made it a priority to see it.
If anyone in the game should see it by now it should be him.

Top of the list is violence against women ( his words)

Talks tough acts in the slowest way possible.
Orrrrr logic would prevail that it's a police investigation and I reckon the boss of the league in which his (former) employer is a participant is a bit down the ladder on the "who needs to see the CCTV" footage.

So the answer was to lie about what happened? And not punish him?
