I didn't make the comment. In forums, some people express humour in many different ways. I loved how you spelt "mentally challenged"....the irony....lol

That poster apologised for the post.

Dude, you are a dropkick. Plus pointing out a letter out order shows you as a wally, as well.

No more needs to be said.

Kudos to the Cows for taking immediate action. As long as you’re not a plodder forward that is.

Barba had the world at his feet circa 2012, but has repeatedly tried to ruin what could’ve been a great career, since.

Scott Bolton never had any prior offences, and was probably the last person the Cowboys would have expected of controversy. I am sure these things are factored into punishments (or non-punishments).

100%.

But the NRL insists on being that sport that acts as a rehab centre.

Piss poor, weak leadership is ingrained in the joint unfortunately. It needs people with the strength of character needed to banish players who commit this type of crap, not keep inviting them back.
Every code allows players back after misdemeanors.

You're such a dimwitted, agenda-driven turd.

I think there is a wee bit of a difference between the allegations but I can see the point you’re trying to make

That’s why I think the NRL should be the ones doing the punishing

Take it out of the clubs hands and make the penalties consistent

Barba went from the Bulldogs to Broncos (homesick (but really fleeing from the controversy), god only knows what went on in Brisbane. We know he wasn’t as committed to footy/training. He leaves there and ends up in the Shire. Gets done for coking up and is banned from the NRL, but this is all Greenberg’s fault.

If there’s a zero tolerance policy in place then yeah, but since there isn’t it’s yeah nah. In saying that, I’m all for never letting serious offenders play NRL.

Only person to blame in this instance is Barba. *edit*

Some blokes are just shit. End of story. Keep giving them chances and shit happens.

As they should be. It was more a jab at those applauding the Cows. The Bolton case was all very hush hush. Who knows what they’d do if there weren’t witnesses/cctv footage.

Bolton has been a Cowboy for a long time iirc, so not surprising to be treated differently. And from what we know, his incident wasn’t as serious as dv.

Leaving the punishment up to the NRL hasn’t worked either. Granted it’s tricky when each case does have unique elements, but the fact is, if you’re found to be guilty of something serious like violence against women, children or excessive violence on anyone, you should be shown the door.

A side issue on this latest incident involving Barba.

His manager. The Orr brothers. Surely they could have done more to get Barba professional help until they were satisfied he had been rehabilitated?

For your first point, I'd be shocked if every club he has been at would not have provided support for him. Im sure his managers would have tried as well, their income depends on it.
At the end of the day, it all comes down to self-responsibility. Other parties can only do so much.

As a cows fan I was asked after his signing ...how long will he last .
I said 3 months before he f**ks up .
I meant from start of season .
It was always gunna happen ..a matter of when .
What a Braindead spastic .
Hope his missus & kids are going to be ok .

After this off season the NRL should think very seriously about a 1 strike you're out policy for serious behavioural breaches like this .

First offence ..gone
Never to be registered as an NRL player again .
It won't solve the problem ( too many brainless twits ) ...but might help educate future players in that you do it you're gone .

That's a much better idea than excusing the behaviour or covering it up and continually inviting the player back.

But you would need some LEADERSHIP for that to happen..... or a good eyeballing maybe?

He should have stayed in England.
His antics post G/F helped put a damper on the GF win in 2016.
Comes a time in every man's life(and he is supposedly a mature male) to grow up and for one to act responsibly to your partner and fellow man/woman/child.
Everyone deserves a 2nd chance unless it is a capital offence. But no 3 ,it's sayonara, you are not welcome period.
I am sick to all of my organs of these chumps, continually stuffing up and dragging the game down.
