As he was tested and found positive when he was an NRL player they will enforce the 12 week suspension if he decides to play in the NRL again. There is an article in todays SMH how he can actually play in the Super League as the suspension doesn't carry over there. I'll find it.If the Sharks have torn up Barba's contract it's safe to assume he is no longer a registered player with the NRL right?
Therefore, he can't be suspended from any games. If he gets offered a $300k contract it will be subject to NRL approval yada, yada and he may be registered. Then he can be suspended.
People with more knowledge about how it works have probably figured this out but I'm baffled how a non NRL player can be suspended. Just as Ennis and Marika couldn't be suspended for any GF indiscretions because they were retiring or leaving the game.
From outside the box as usual
Frenzy.
