Yep must be great living in the north of England where the avg temp doesn't exceed 7c for 6 months of the year and 18c for the other 6 months in addition to 22 days a month of rain on average. Good call.

Oh yeah the culture just sucks over there, there is no contemporary art, no sense of history and certainly no innovation going on :)

Theres plenty to do in England, even in the North when its cold. its a fun place. Best part, as a traveller you would know, an airfare to Spain or france or Greece for the same as an airfare from Bris to Melbourne.
6 months playing footy DURING SUMMER, then can pizz off back to Oz or go on Hols during the winter.

Gets such bad advice.

Should be starrring as fullback for the defending premiers as they strive to go B2B....not dragging his family around the world on some half arsed adventure to pay footy.

Might work for mercenaries like SBW who doesnt have kids and is probably a touch smarter - but dudes like BB who take a managers advice to sign up for some outpost so the manager gets a wad. Rarely ends well.

Yes, he had a settled life in Cronulla & guess what, he played is best footy in donkeys years (pun intended).

Goes to France & gets dumped immediately. Will go to St Helens & go through the motions there too.

Yeah he made a poor choice. Leaving the Sharks & going to France.
Seeing he made $600k for about 2 hours work, who cares if its double what he would have earned for the Sharks, for playing 16 matches? He was dumb, right?
Now he is off to a European based League team on about A$1 mil per year, with obvious tax minimisations.
You wonder how he is going to go through the motions for 2 years.
And DS is right, So glad he didnt come back to the NRL. Would be devastating to watch him tearing us up & listening to the usual small minded haters take pot shots at him.
