Surely you are not that stupid inferno? Let me break it down for you. he was signed to a 2.5 m 2.5 year deal. The deal was broken into 2 sections in favour of Toulon. The 2nd section was 2nd june 2017. The parties required 30 days notice of intention & toulon did not take up the option which meant they were exposed to the entire contract payout of the 2nd section.
He is paid monthly installments , up to the time he leaves, on June 2. $600k

No doubt he was paid well.

However he could've been paid pretty well in Aus too.

Life is not all about the $.

He could've got great coin & enjoyed his footy like he never has before.

For a volatile mind like his, surely that's important!!

Added to that, the usual numbskull haters & deriders, will be also seething , when the Sharks best fullback ever, goes to Saints, he will be serving his 12 game suspension & getting paid. Also coming back to meet with NRL integrity commission down the track, which will pave the way back, to possibly be signed with a Northern NRL club, who might be looking for a new fullback down the track.
Very dumb bloke. Very dumb managers.

I Stan corrected by inferno.
Ben was contracted to another country at his own expense. Not until he played 2000 minutes of game time was he due ant remuneration.
After all , players aren't paid monthly, they are paid by the minute.

Yep that's exactly what I said.

I'm sure he was paid monthly, or fortnightly, or weekly. But it was a multi year deal and he only played 5 minutes in 1 game. I very much doubt that each pay cycle was identical over the whole 2 and half year deal or that there wasn't a match payment clause.

But don't mind anything I say, I'm stupid remember.

I just told you, it was monthly. There were also mobilisation payments & also repatriation payment at the end of the any stage of the contract, which finishes on June 2.
But it was a multi year deal and he only played 5 minutes in 1 game. I very much doubt that each pay cycle was identical over the whole 2 and half year deal or that there wasn't a match payment clause..
It was not a multi year deal. I just told you it was a 2 component contract. the second component kicks in June 2 in favour of Toulon with 30 days notice. They declined the option. Barba was not expected by Toulon to play ANY minutes in the first component, unless serious run of injuries. The monthly salary, did not change throughout either component. no payment clauses at all. Behaviour only.

But don't mind anything I say, I'm stupid remember.

I'd question the 95 or 96 minute stats from French Rugby. If it came from that bloke Reefy's keyboard I'd be really concerned.

Ole Reef was known for making up unsubstantiated facts and figures. He was a bit of a fibber.

But with Coif D Trump I am not so sure. He sounds the real deal with his facts and figures. Surely we wouldn't have another bloke come in here and just type up bullshit stats to back up his arguments or outlandish claims.

Does French Rugby have a stats thingy webpage where you can go and get the hit ups, tackle counts, error counts and assists like the NRL has.

Think there's a magazine called Vogue Quigs.
Particularly good with stats.
Wouldn't surprise if a few old number 9s contribute.
I suppose it could assist with a hit up but might want to try Hughe Hefners magazine.
