You're right in regards to club records but this isn't a record he set for the Bulldogs, it's one he achieved for the competition. My memory isn't great but I think the NRL had something for Andrew Johns after he became the highest point scorer, I could be wrong on that.
im surprised you dont remember that seeing it was against the eels at parra stadium they were going to have a ceremony and give him the game ball but he was so sh*tty because the knights lost he didnt come out to get it
(am i thinking of the right record here? he's set a few)

Wasn't Jason Taylor standing around with the game ball waiting for Johnsy with confused look on his face.

No I remember that night very clearly, my bad memory was who organised the ceremony, was it the clubs or NRL?

On the news Barrett actually said that if he played again it would only be with the Sharks......if you can actually read anything into that i guess.....

I'm going to add some spice to this topic...At the Cowboys game when I was sitting high up in the KT Stand, sitting directly behind me enjoying some coldies and a nicely cooked meal in the corporate box was one James Maloney, one day after his MOM performance against Penrith for the Warriors. I was questioning why he was there in my head until the stunning caterer that was serving him and the people around him caught my eye....where was I again? :sarcasm:

He is close with a lot of the parra players(alot attended his dad funeral after James left the club, which was a nice touch) and he was at that game due to a birthday for someone in your club I think ... You guys could have had him this year but did not think he was worth an nrl contract - only a nsw cup one.

But I agree when players get a certain record the club acknowledge that record but from and overall competition perspective I think the NRL should recognise it. But that's just from a fans perspective.

mmmm - maybe the NRL should do something .... but they never have in the past and suddenly the media is all over it like they've snubbed him and only him :?

i guess Noddy's problem is that he's the NRL door knob - every club's had a turn

Seems I have fallen for the media trap. :fist:

But yeah, be cool for the NRL to maybe start acknowledging milestones.

Barrett was on 7 news last night, pretty much said if he doesnt retire he'll only be playing for the sharks, but he's leaning towards retiring

An Gillard would become a full foward for the Western Bulldogs before she became PM and Tahu was never signing with Union.

We'll know today, apparently.

The only use for Barrett would be to give Ben Smith some confidence when he finally has someone to beat in the sprints at training.

Yep, will be disappointed if we spent time chasing him for a position that isn't really our top priority.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Will he or won't he ?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
