NSW's Origin hopes have been thrown into chaos with senior playmaker Trent Barrett sensationally withdrawing from a training session on the Central Coast today.
Barrett was about halfway through the session when he walked from the field with what initially appeared to be a lower back complaint.
The squad continued to train with utilitiy Craig Wing shifting to five-eighth.
Betting on all NRL matches has been thrown into turmoil as bookies wait to see the extent of his injury and who, if anyone will replace him

The return of Trent "made of glass" Barrett ladies and gentlemen.

Seriously though could the Blues have a more disrupted preparation??

*Sends a swedish massuese to Trent's room to accidentally make it worse*

....Give Campo his shot at retribution FFS.

Jobby...it's too late to rush Mullen in IMO..especially into an important position like 5/8. Campo knows most of the other players allready and deserves a second chance.

Mullo didn't get a second chance in 07, so why should Campese? ;-)

LOL If he's replaced by Campese or Mullen NSW's chances would actually be better.

Could be a smart ploy by NSW. Put out there a fake injury on Barrett to take the heat off Farah from the QLD attack.

But then again i could maybe be overestimating Bellamy's tactical brain.

Not likely. Trent Barrett was picked for his experience and the fact that he steps up for the big games. None of the other blokes have either of those qualities.

That said, Trent Barrett was always a temporary solution and we're better off in the longterm if we give someone younger a run.
