I was under the assumption that he was coming back for the Canberra game.. so the fox commentary confused me a little.

Maybe someone can clarify.

he got six weeks didnt he? 6 games off would mean he'd be back for the canberra game but everyone from the commentators to the papers and the "casualty ward" in the dragons section of nrl.com says he's back round 19..

saint 60 didnt he rule himself out of origin before gettings suspended?

whatever the reason i wont be complaining

fact is, we've won every game that he's been out.

i was thinking at the time that i'd be happy if we could win half of them. it would seem that we can overcome his absence next season.

Quite simply, the Fox commentators don't know sh*t.
6 matches. Parra, Penrith, Brisbane, Nth Qld, Souths... and Dogs.
Back in round 20.

As usual, Mick has his finger on the pulse. Still won't prevent us beating Canterbury.

When they say "play x got 5 weeks" it always means games.

Congrats on 7 in a row, and 6 in a row minus TB. Fine accomplishment.

Cheers Charlie. I assume you're tipping us to beat the Dogs on Friday - it's only been 5 in a row sans Trent. ;-)

It has been a marvellous period though, these 7 games. Encompassing two byes, the entire Origin period, and of course the suspension to our captain and one of our most important players. Holding aloft the trophy in October, we may look back upon this as the definitive period of our season.

My bad, five in a row.
In todays game, anytime you win more than 5 in a row it is a fine achievement. Alot more parity in todays game compared to the 90s.
I dont know who i will tip yet, will wait till friday.
Dragons were not that great vs souths, but thats understandable.
Dogs were impressive to come back vs warriors, but teams coming off a golden point game have a very low winning %age regardless whether they win or lose the GP game.

Our record without Barrett has always matched or at least been better than our record with him..it has been consistently like that for a number of years now...i really think he looses more games for us then he wins...i really dont mind him leaving next yr
