On the radio after the boreathon this afternoon, Stuart seemed concerned about Trent's well-being without really revealing how serious it was. Just heard on the news update that he's in hospital and there are more serious worries.

Anyone know any more? Devastating news for him and for the Sharks if true.

It just keeps getting better :( Where's Quigs when you need some perspective on it all???

Sticky was talking about it after the game and apparently he had pins and needles in his right side. They are hoping it is just one of those 'stinger' or 'burner' injures. If that's the case he should be ok for next weekend.

God hates us! He bloody hates us!!!!!!

I hope Barrett recovers. I dead set love the bloke since he's ditched the stains. I'm suprised we haven't had constant updates on Ross. How is he going, can he and will he play on? This club is a bloody shakespearean tragedy :(.

Just reported on Fox Sports that he's OK. Could even "play in a week or two".

At least there's some good news huh?

Good news

In a positive development regarding the Trent Barrett injury scare, x-rays and scans have cleared Sharks five eighth of any serious damage.
Barrett, who was injured in the 50th minute of the match against his old club the Dragons, had been taken by ambulance to the nearby St George Hospital where he underwent a series of tests.
X-rays, as well as CT and MRI scans cleared Barrett of any serious injury and he was released from hospital at around 9.00pm tonight (Sunday).
Sharks Doctor David Givney explained the scans results and was relieved the injury wasn’t as serious as it possibly could have been.
“It has all been good news,” Dr Givney said. “The CT and MRI scans have come back normal, with no boney or ligamentous injury and the symptoms are slowly resolving. “
Barrett will be assessed tomorrow (Monday), however the initial diagnosis indicates he will not miss more than a couple of matches, which will be good news to Sharks coach Ricky Stuart, especially considering the current injury toll.

It looked really bad, if he turns out with just some minor strains and pains then he's a lucky boy.
Hope it's not serious regardless.

It's `The Curse', Stonecutter. Many years ago, a Saints pal of mine said we were cursed for breaking away in 67. They said this was exacerpated by our stance in the Super League war. Maybe he's right, maybe he's wrong. But our officials have done everything to overcome reverse the situation. Why, over the years junior players from a religious based club have often received preference over those from other clubs. Many of our noble leaders have come from similar background. Why, even Paris reaches for the Heavens to score most of his tries. But nothing can overcome `The Curse'. Why even our only realistic chance at glory with one of Saints' favourite sons at the helm was allegedly illegitimately snuffed out by a referee allegedly under the auspices of the alleged Satan Incarnate  who ruled the ARL at the time.
Are we cursed? Ross close to a broken neck. Baz perhaps similar. And the others.Maybe we really are cursed. Time is running out for me. I now seriously doubt that I will ever see a Sharks' premiership.

Jesus Popper, that was a grim post!!

That latest Barrett update sounds promising, I hope he's playing in the very near future.

I'm now scared to walk out of the house in a sharks jersey.
