am 59 -2 after 15 overs.
one of my guys got out like this:
smacked the ball straight into the groin of Cuss who fell over, miraculously with the ball still caught in his scrotal area! Out!

I got a team in the SL comp. Better times for me to watch the matches as I work alot of nights. As well their are only 140 managers, so more chance to hit the top division too!!!

Haha - small world.... or internet, I guess.

Yeah, pretty happy with that win. Arse Biscuit & Pirate Dogs are my two main threats this season so I was happy to knock one of them off first up.

Bit of a stress at the end though! Arse Biscuit needed 6 off the last over with 2 wickets in hand. I couldn't watch it so I walked away, came back, but couldn't see what happened cause the match had buggered up.

Had to wait a few stressful hours until it was fixed before I could get the result!

You batsmen Kieran Fox looks awesome! 14 centuries!!!
What are his skills (stamina/batting/concentration) if you don't mind me asking?

Did you go for a team in Australia? If so, there are currently 23 on the waiting list.

I would suggest you join me in SL Jobdog. Much easier to progress, otherwise you will get out of division 5 into div 4 and get pounded. The games start at 4:30pm in the afternoon, which isnt too bad at all.

Can anyone tell me if there is any benefit in constantly soending money in the youth academy?

Is the benefit cumulative of should i just spend money there when i'm thinking of promoting a player from the academy.

I'm just starting out so any other tips would be appreciated.

Your best players will come from the youth academy. So I suggest investing the max straight away. You can only pull one player each week, which should always do.

Check out the jerseys for wickets website and read their articles in relation to training as that will give you a good idea of what stratergies to employ.

Cheers Dogs.

If you get crap players from the Academy (Battricks rating of 600) should I cut him straight away or is it worth investing some training.

This was my first promotion from Youth so I want to know if you ever get good players there.

You do, not that I have got any so far, but guys at work have their best players from the youth acdamey so its worth it. Cut anyone who can't get a spot in your starting squad (ie medicore in batting or bowling, keep or sell, lower than that cut him)

Cheers mate.

I got a player from my youth squad with Abysmal for everything. He is gone.

Hopefully next week will be a good week.

I'm currently running 2nd in III.2 in New Zealand. Also through the last 32 of the cup. whoa-yeah! My starting team is getting quite good now:

Hamshaw - Proficient Bat/Mediorce Bowler
Fry - Respectable Bat
Lennon - Respectable Bat
Duggan - Respectable Bat
Cuss - Competent Bat
Willets - Competent Bat
Wheat - Mediorce Bat/Strong WK
Holmes - Feeble Bat/Superb Bowler
Henshaw - Abysmal Bat/Respectable Bowler
Ogrady - Worthless Bat/Respectable Bowler
Sheffield - Worthless Bat/Competent Bowler

I've got quite a bit of cash building up in the bank, so before long I plan to sell Ogrady and pick up a much better bowler to replace him.

In my side Fry, Willets and Duggan are all products of my academy. Fry and Willets were pulled last season both has mediorce batsmen. Duggan was pulled about 2 weeks ago and is only 17. I have high hopes for him. I'm now pulling bowlers who I hope will eventually be able replace my spinner Sheffield who just doesn't seem to be up to it at the moment.
