Of course he did. FFS the bloke was a gun, limited at times sure but very few better power players than Lynn at his best.
By the time he really got noticed he'd had ongoing injury issues that meant he wasn't even allowed to dive in the field, which destroyed his ability to find consistency. Plus he got leapt all over by the media which never helps.
Most people don't even know the dude averages nearly 45 in first class cricket - more than at least three of the current Test batting squad
He's not the player he was especially thanks to having glass shoulders, but this idea that's kicked up that he's a nuffy is pretty dumb
This ^^
Few years back some of us even thought he should be in the conversation for a go at test cricket cause all we had was Smith and Warner, and hardly anyone else was averaging over 40 in Shield. Was selected for Oz but not tests, then about that time the injuries
From memory signed a lucrative 5 year deal with Heat (on his last year now ?) when he was easily the most feared T20 bat. But has been a shadow of himself in the last couple of years
Dont know why, but I kinda felt sad for him when he was miked up in the field last night and they asked him about his batting form. He said something along the lines, Just because I have had 4-5 failures doesn't mean ive lost it. I still prepare the same , it will come.
Unfortunately hasnt come a lot longer than 4-5 games
