I reckon the poor lad will probably get a duck or single digits tonight as it always seems to happen in cricket when you get a shock innings like that from an unrecognised batsman. The next innings is generally a low one.

What has happened to the bertus family is a real tragedy. Hoepfully nick does well tonight.

Nigel obivously with his MND and then his mum merryn who was a great person as well who got tragically killed 2 years ago.

My brother played cricket with Nick's younger brother back in the under 12s.

So my parents knew both Nigel and Merryn well back in the day. Always got the goss from around Cricket NSW.
