Old beetroot isnt playing bad footy at the moment. i reckon if he performs like this in the next couple of rounds that they should use him as starting prop with Stevens and move nuts to second row, we need some hard men to soften the opposition up early and who better than Beets. Does anyone think this would be an okay idea????

they were all buggered after 20 minutes

and then we replaced two of them after 25 minutes with Tweddle dee and Wessels dumb

only problem is I'm not too sure how newton has been going & its hardly the time to experiment up the front.
Newton against Webcke could be a bit dangerous too.
Beatts is getting his mobility up & working better laterally.

I just wonder which of our guys are looking forward to be getting hit by the Beats monster next year.

He doesnt leave much to guess the olds beats man & I can safely predict what a bitter beats will do to our boys next year.
Better keep on the lookout for another few forwards sludge.

Newton out played Webcke last year though. That is what brought all the wraps.

Hopefully Beattie will stay for a another year with the club having a option for another one or two.

I heard on the Radio (Hadley call, I was driving back from the snow) that when Beats walked past the Goons bench he sprayed em all with water. Can anyone confirm whether this happened or not. If it did, its hell.

Beats has certainly come back with a vengence, but as you mention, really needs to be used in short bursts.

Rapers policy of carrying Aitken on the bench along with Sully is holding back our pack a bit at present.

With another bopper on the bench, beattie can be used for more impact and really do some damage.

I like what I saw from Beattie last week. Admittedly I didn't like much more of what I saw despite the bad calls and the flattering scoreline. I'm not sure if Beattie is even match fit to start and play mant minutes in a game yet, but even if he was, it'd be fairly harsh to relegate either Stevens or Nutley to the bench. Both have been outstanding for us.

Who started what? If memory serves, it was Withers who attempted to belt Beattie and came off 2nd best. Withers should learn to pick his mark better, say maybe Merritt. #-o
