It is indeed. However in the anglo-saxon translationfrom the 17th century it changed . But you are quite correct Beowulf is the correct spelling. I was re-reading it the other day so I used it.

Beowulf was basically a scarey poem the Anglo-Saxons used to listen to whilst getting smashed (They didn't have pubs or television back then) every Saturday night. It's origins are probably from 8th century and it was probably originally written in the West Saxon dialect.

Maybe Beowolf could recite this epic in it's original language for us in the chat room one evening.
