Spine win matches....no9 no7 and 1 are all below par...especially 7......in saying that a couple of quality players and things can turn around real quick.....if I was in charge Jennings senior and Moses would be on myforsale list

I may be wrong as I walked out of the room few times,
but I never saw 2 of them run from dummy half and pressure defense.
Passes from them were slow again

Smith made one run from dummy half in the second half, picked up about 10 metres but that was about it.
King I don't think really made a run, but his service, whilst bog average, is still better than Smith's.
Smith isn't a bad utility back-up to have. But I don't see him being a long-term first grader.

Arthur made a huge mistake not finding a decent replacement for Peats. I like Pritchard, but I feel like he's another Kyle Stanley - destined to be chronically injured and probably retire early.

Lack planned attack. To robotic

Agreed. As already mentioned ad naseum in this thread, the constant ineffectual bombs really offer nothing. We'd be better off rolling and dice and running on the last/attempt some effective second phase to mix things up.

Channeling BA I thought the effort was outstanding tonight apart from Vae and at times Matagi.
Our Centers really blew it for us tonight. Takas brain snap to kick on 4 and Mennings hands. OMG.
Moses kicking game was diabolical. I like the kid but ouch that was rubbish.
Norman was great. Polar, Tep, Gowie and Terepo excellent except for the dropped ball.
Vae and Matagi need to be never seen again. Gennings was pretty good. French was slightly better. Gutho tried his guts out.
Kings defence was average but he throws a nice pass. Smith was a D minus.
Marata needs more minutes.
Next week Taka has to go back to the backrow or bench. Hoffman to centre.
Hopefully Brown is back next week. He will help.
All in all an improved effort but still much work to do.

We are a poorly coached attacking team. We are completely bereft of ideas attacking the opposition line. We had enough ball and opportunities to win and win convincingly but we just don’t have a plan b when our plan a (the rubbish sweeping play) fails. How every fan has seen this from about round 2 and the coaching staff have not been able to rectify the situation is unacceptable.

Guys while Moses plays no7 you will struggle. Kicking game is terrible, passing game is telegraphed and is a defensive liability. Parra had so many chances tonight on the back of some really good work from the forwards, but your no7 offers bugger all.....I would try Wil Smith at 7...could not be worse than Moses
You wouldn't be a tigpies supporter would you?

This is a genuine question...

Does anyone think we persist with our predictable attacking structure (the sweeping play) because it works at training against our poor defence? This would explain our consistent assertion that we’re training well, have not bothered to try anything different in attack on game day and the commonly used phrase “we just need to give ourselves a chance”.

We’ve given ourselves plenty of chances this year but our attack is not 1st grade standard.

I was happy with the effort but the execution wasn't there. The guys are trying but you can't win NRL games by playing dumb football. We are still a chance of playing finals football.
Look, I'm optimistic to the point of it being sickening, but nah, no we aren't. This game was it.
