DC are f**ked. Honestly can't remember the last time a company screws up their own work so badly when it had so much potential.

Crappy CGI Green Lantern and Superman and now they cast a has been actor, but a good director, as Batman! How did they not learn from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight?

I actually don't mind Affleck as an actor but he's not right for Batman at all.

His best movies have been as director or as a writer. The only real other good acting roles he has had is in Kevin Smith movies.

I thought with the arrival of Robert Downey Jr and Christian Bale we'd grown past the "anyone can play the lead character" nonsense with superhero movies. They made the characters their own and it will feel crap having one of them replaced.

Mind you the success of the latest Batman trilogy was based entirely on the performances of the villains IMO. I only watch the joker scenes of the Dark Knight these days, for example. Batman as a character was pretty goddamned one dimensional for 2.5 of the movies. Bale is a great actor but he was hardly having his talents stretched playing Bruce Wayne.

Jackman was almost completely unknown at that point. Most people were saying that simply because he was too tall.

Plus the Wolverine character wasn't as popular with the general public unlike today. A lot of movie fans still don't know the character outside of Jackman. This is a fair bit different.

When I think of Batman, I always think of the animated series version first. The Arkham games have come closest to that version of the character. Ben Affleck is on the same level as Val Kilmer or George Clooney. Bale has come closest on film in my opinion and would have been even better if he had tone-downed the bat voice a bit.

I honestly can't see the DC cinematic universe going anywhere. Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck. Which annoying actor should they cast as Flash? We'll probably see Anne Hathaway as Wonder Woman next.

I don't mind Affleck but I haven't seen him in anything that gives me a glimpse of what his Batman might be like.
Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. Hope he pulls a Ledger/Joker and really surprises everyone with what he can bring to the table.
