Well I personally though Bale was too one dimensional as Batman and more so as Bruce Wayne. He brought practically zero personality to the role and was lucky he had great villains opposite him

At least its not Nic Cage lol

I don't mind Affleck but I haven't seen him in anything that gives me a glimpse of what his Batman might be like.
Willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. Hope he pulls a Ledger/Joker and really surprises everyone with what he can bring to the table.

Joker is a bit different. You can do a lot with the Joker. Make-up, costumes, voices, mannerisms etc. Batman is a much more straightforward character.

Not to mention it's very rare to see Ben Affleck act different than he usually does. Can't even recall a movie he's put a different voice on.

My choice would be Karl Urban. I thought he has shown in Dredd he can play the type of stoic badass Batman needs. And has shown in other movies like Star Trek he can act as more than just a stoic badass. Also looks the part in my opinion. Oh well.

You have the WORST taste in everything that's why.

Literally the worst cast for Batman ever and you're excited lol

  1. I don't have the worst taste, I have a taste that's UNIQUE to yours... just because I don't like the same things you don't like doesn't mean I think yours is the worst
  2. I never said he was the BEST choice for Batman, I said he was a good choice.
  3. Mate, you make a goose of yourself everytime to spell 'Seagal' incorrectly.

I thought about the voice too... so does this mean Batman is now from South Boston and not Gotham City!?

I'm a goose because I didn't spell an outdated shitty actor's name correctly  says the two and a half men fan

I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deliberate ploy to ruin Batman to spite Nolan & Bale that's how bad this casting is "Oh, you won't continue working in batman films? f**k your legacy then"

Batman with a Boston accent LOL

Again, your opinion. Two and a Half Men was the highest rating sitcom worldwide when Charlie Sheen was in it (which is the period I like), so whatever sitcom you like would have to be worse, right? NOT NECESSARILY... we all know what they say about opinions. Go on, name me a few of your favorite sitcoms?

It's not so bad Bruce speaking like that (even though I'll just keep imagining him as a punk from South Boston like in Good Will Hunting and most other movies he's been in) but who will be intimidated by an Affleck voice when he's batsuited up?

You guys realise that both Christian Bale and Henry Cavill are from England and when they acted in the Batman and Superman films they used a different accent to their usual one. My god! It's like they were ACTING or something!
I have a few reasons to worry about this Superman/Batman film, but Affleck isn't one of them.

Weird casting decision

Why not chuck matt Damon in the movie for kicks? I would've liked to have seen a relatively new actor get the job.

Liam Hemsworth would've been a good choice but he's young looking so that would rule him out

Okay, name a movie where Affleck acts with a different accent. The very point of the criticism is that Affleck doesn't have a range like Bale or Cavill or Ledger does.

To be fair Australian and English actors can be more versatile IMO because they want to break into the american market so need to take on the accent to broaden their marketability. Hence the most successful batman is a pom. His voice (bale) got annoying but he and Keaton are my favs

whilst i personally don't believe Affleck can pull it off, here's a little trip down memory lane, when a certain someone (may he rest in peace) was cast to play a certain someone (better than anyone - ANYONE - else)...

I'm not saying he's in the same leagueas Bale.
People are joking about Afflecks Boston accent, isn't his normal speaking voice, I don't know, normal American? Not Boston-ish. So he doesn't even need to change his accent.
