Does Barba have a kicking game?

I ask that question because when Norman goes we'll be missing a top class, long-range kicker. Prince is OK at long-range kicks, but isn't a long-term proposition.

Wallace has a relatively short kicking game only slightly exceeded by McCullough.

That's why we're signing Sandow.

1. Barba
6. Prince
7. Sandow
9. McCullough

(Confirmed 2014 starting lineup)

If all those players do sign I don't think Prince and Sandow should start together, carrying one suspect defender is fine in the halves, not two. I would put Hunt at 6 and Sandow at 7.

(Confirmed)

will believe it when I see it, for your sake I hope you are correct, cred goes right out the window when making these sort of claims as being confirmed before they are and then they aren't

Oh you thought I was being serious, well that's awkward.

yes well the internet doesn't exactly show anything like sarcasm very well, especially when poorly executed

He does not need to kick. Billy or Inglis dont kick and they go "ok"
Not comparing Barba to them, but Ben goes ok also.

More rumours of Ben Barba coming to Queensland again in the news today. Can Andrew Gee spell R.E.C.R.U.I.T.M.E.N.T.?

Just one thing .... Gee can't officially talk to Barba or his management until the November before his final contracted season starts (unless the Bulldogs give him permission)

OK ... got ya. So the same would apply to all other clubs.

Just wonder how the NRL police player agents and their interactions with club management. Neigh impossible.

On another note, Kev Naiqama signed with Penrith. My theory that the Broncos are incapable of signing non-Queenslanders based south of the border continues to ring true.

To be knowledge the last non-Queensland players we signed were Peter Wallace, Joel Clinton and Ashton Sims.

Defence is the key for Barba playing 5/8. Lockyer shifted from fullback to 5/8 so it can be done and let's face it. His defence can't be much worse than Prince.

Not so sure it is a nothing article Pete. There is a direct quote from Hoffman which is always a key to authenticity, as opposed to the undisclosed sources in the Yow Yeh story the other day - which was rubbish.

It's a slow news story where a journo is making a mountain of a mole hill.

Terrible effort.
