Heard that we signed Ben Cross for 4 years. Dont really have a source though but im pretty sure its true.

Decent player who is extremely big..... will add some intimidation into our forward pack.

Good news.

thats because alot of them are fools who look only at his track record under an ordinary coach... which shows inconsistancy. He has good potential and under a coach like Bellamy im sure that will shine through

for him to be effective you need to allow him to play with the raw aggression that got him in FG

ok heres a basic outline
he is big, imposing and is IMO the hardest hitter in the comp. If your on a Cross bone rattler you wont soon forget it.

When he is playing well he averages over 8-9 metres a hit up. Is a good effective defender without excelling, wont miss many more or less then your average front rower. But as said he has the ability to put a huge hit on.

His negatives are simple, he has a tendency to give away a few penalties (seems to have fixed that up the last few weeks though) and his handling can be woeful at times. He averages probably a mistake or two a game. And his work rate with ball in hand isnt great. He is good for about 6-10 hit ups and about 50- 90 metres.

Sounds like someone who could possibly have an impact off the bench then. Not someone who is going to fight for a starting spot with our existing props

Not to mention someone with less than ideal discipline. We don't need another player who cannot complete a hit up. Bellamy will need to work on his abilityt o retain possesion and not give away any more penalties, the refs love giving them against us enough already.

i think you could say he is better than donnelly..... with chan gone and kearns possibly leaving, our front row options could include cross starting.

You're after Garratt Crossman from Penrith now as well apparently. He won't let you down.

Ross, Cross and Crossman; have been 3 of our front rowers that we have targetted. The similarities in their names amuses me, even if it doesn't amuse you.
