Hunt wants out, he is out of favor at the Broncos, the only thing standing in the way is that Bennett is refusing to release him.

Our only hope is that Kodi Nikorima or Benji play out of their skin, but its not looking good after Kodi being relegated to the bench for this weekends game.

Regardless if he comes or not, I think we are seeing now that most of our squad is signed for the next 3-4 years. Also what I have noticed since Millward took over it's a bit more staggered. When he took over from the previous recruiter the majority of contracts were due at the same time.. which was a mess he had to sort out.

As for Hunt - I wish! But Bennett has no incentive to release him early, only thing he's doing is strengthening a competitor. If I'm Bennett, no way I release him early, especially with Milford being called into origin.

Only way we make it work is if we tell the Sharks we will give them Dugan early if they give Bird to the Broncos who give us Hunt.. and if that happens - WOW.

I didn't like the way he conducted business and player movement to Newcastle, in his final year with us.

Mate I was thinking the same , and if Bennett does rate us at the present time and thinks we are a threat to his precious Broncos , no way he will release Hunt ..... and yea I never liked him either , he did a job for us and got payed to do so .

He did his ACL mate. There is no shortcutting a return from that. He won't play a game this season no matter who he is contracted to.
