Hard to play well when your forwards and doing the opposite of what thier name suggests they should be doing.

However, Hunt does have a tendency to go missing during games, some really good players often do.
The best way to describe him would be “enigmatic”.
Can be brilliant, often isn’t.

The club was desperate for a top line halfback, have been missing one for years.
The club was desperate for a “marque” recruit, given we usually pick up other teams reserve graders.

Did we pay overs? Proberbly, but given our club and coaching we have too to get any decent player.

Looks like I was right all along....

The guy has no kicking game and I'm surprised no one has pointed out his inability to kick field goals.

Would suit the Dragons.

You guys never learn.
1 mill for a halfback that can't kick or kick field goals.

Same shit, different year. First comes anger at the board, then false hope and finished with a disappointing season with you all finding someone to be the scapegoat. Rinse and repeat, so predictable.

You are attributing the signing to Coyne, but when Hunt plays bad you'll then attribute it to Doust. Mark my words.

For your sake I hope you don't sign hunt. It could destroy you for years. I have a soft spot for you guys and I'd hate to see it unfold the way I think it will.

With Widdop out for a while lets see what transpires with him ....we are about to find out.....to be honest Im not especting anything special hope Im wrong...in fairness our forwards have not been setting the go forward platform that halves need to operate at their best....and our outside men like Lafai, Aitken Flo, McDonald etc are not exactely mouth watering prospects to capitalise on his cross field kicks or cut out passes are they.....still hes being paid the big dollars lets see if he can produce some magic this weekend.....otherwise Im expecting Farrah and Marshall to have a field day.....mmmm that in itself is a sad statement isnt it considering these 2 blokes are seen to be well past it

Mick Ennius suggested that young Field be brought into the side to partner Hunt and spark the attack . If the forward pack were playing with plenty of mongrel I would had said yes , but the way they are playing now there just isn’t anyone to help him defend and also protect him .

Benny Hunt is the least of our problems

1. Average to poor go forward from our pack
2. Poor discipline across the park
3. Zero energy and aggression
4. Change in Refereeing interpretation of various rules
5. Loss of Vaughan and Widdop for balance of season
6. A coach who continues to follow the same game plan despite the fact it has not worked for 10 +weeks
7. An administration that continues to foster and promote incompetence

Little wonder we fans are experiencing groundhog day

So now we have two halves that go missing in games.
Not exactly a formula for success

But if your playing four bench forwards you could cover for that
