Hey , Hey , Hey , it’s Christmas in October for Dragon supporters .

So damn sorry to see you go Benny ( whoops I think I just told a lie 😳 ) but you had to , bloody shame you could not do so with some dignity .

The team will finally be able to move on to better
days now with Flanagan sure to sign a very decent player to partner young Kyle , preferably one whose heart will be with the club .

It is strange to read the comments on that page. Commenters speculating that Hunt might go here or there and how he could be "a cool head" who could "mentor young players". Some people have not been paying attention.
It's actually a really interesting process to watch.. happens every time... 1 club removes a player that is driving them crazy with their attitude/form/injuries/drug-use.. they are usually stoked to move them on... but fans from the new club choose to focus on the positives/potential. Its the same player.. but 2 completely different viewpoints.

But in reality, a new coach backs himself to extract something better out of the player.. you dont get to sign players at their peak.. something has to go wrong for them to be moved on.

If I look at Cook, Holmes, JAC, Gutho, Lodge.. all 5 I could give you a list of negative takes.. but I could also come up with a list of huge positives & upgrades over our current.. I think its human instinct to be try and be optimistic about our future prospects.. well thats the case for most humans.. a couple on here seem to be hard-wired to only focus on the worst-case scenario.. but if you take that path ur going to be very unhappy.

I have seen that happen way to many times when team pick up a discard and fans focus on the negatives. I good example is when Saints brought in Packer and Dugan. I thought both played well at the Dragons and left to other teams on bigger coin than what Saints offered which showed how much they improved at the club. When those 2 left Saints they seemed to not play as well which also shows players that chase the cash rather than repay a team that brought them back to life and showed faith in them, is an immediate red flag.

Fox sport reports that Hunt and Dragons have officially parted ways. The Dragons have given him an immediate release. I’m very disappointed. I think Cook and Hunt could have been a great combination. With no quality half backs on the market I‘m not optimistic about 2025. We now have Lomax and Hunt walk out of the club and taking a huge drop in their salaries just to get away from the place. It’s not a great look.
