Ben Walker signs with Leeds

In what I see as a surprise, Northern Eagles 5/8 has signed to play with Leeds. I am unsure of how long he has signed for but his departure continues the trend of players in their prime laeving the NRL to play in the ESL. I would see his departure as a major loss for the NRL and Sid Domic has signed with Warrington. The only question I have is havent Leeds exceeded their import quota with the signing of Walker. For mine that makes Walker, Clyde, Carroll, Mullins, Mears and Vowles as imports for the ESL club. I was led to beleive the quota was being reduced to three, not double that.

I have heard that Clyde, Mullins and Mears are all unlikely to find themselves at Leeds next year. I know Mears has been linked to the Tigers and I am sure Mullins and Clyde could still atract attention if they were available. Manly is going to need someone.
