Wests Tigers half-back Benji Marshall is unlikely to play against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, May 3, in round eight of the Telstra Premiership.
Football Operations Manager Alan Mair confirmed Marshall has not trained with the team this week due to influenza and missed the final training session this morning.
"Tim Sheens will give Benji up to an hour before kick-off to see whether he can play,'' Mair said.
"The rest of the players trained well this morning.''
Kick-off at ANZ Stadium is 3pm.

Not that it would happen but in that case I'd like to see:
* Morris stay where he is at 5/8,
* shift Moltzen to 1/2, and
* Gallant in as fullback.

Anything except Morris back into the half role- l'm happy give credit where it is due- in my opinion Morris has been playing well at 5/8 lately.

More Tim Sheen's smoke and mirrors before a "big" game??? Sunday footy show say Chris to 5/8th and a 17th man still to be confirmed into the squad...

Lawrence at 5/8th in the foundation cup was the single worst performance I've ever seen on a serious football field. By miles. He's very good at running straight - apart from that - nothing.

Ive been told Marshall definately out but due to badly corked thigh and a slight cold. Morris is 7, Lawrence 5/8 Moltzen centre and gallant fullback. Don't know who is on the bench for Gallant

Since when in all his days at the Wests Tigers has Lawrence shown he has the makings to be a first grade five-eighth of any stature?

Possibly another ploy by Sheens to deny another player any hope of playing rep football.

wouldn't surprise me if he did have an injury and we were just covering it up saying he's sick.

Ok 25 minutes to kick off, Morris to half, Moltzen to 5/8 and mighty mouse to fullback. Pity it wasnt Morris out because then we would have the perfect side. Hope Shannon has a blinder and wins the game for us. Not many people know how good he is so nows his chance to show everyone and also make Tim Shines look like the dumb prick he is for leaving him out every week.

we still have some chance.. but it will come down to defence. we cant let them score more then 2 tries otherwise i dont rate our chances in scoring more then 4 tries (for once)
