Why is Dean Collis never the target of any rants you blokes come up with? He adds nothing. He been in first grade for about 2 years and hasn't really done anything yet continues to be selected.

Collis is a gun and all class. Its not his fault he has been getting sh*t ball for a year and a half and been reduced to a dummy half runner.

The thing that gets to me is that last week we were told not to expect too much from Marshall and Farah then after the game after a more than adequate game by both Marshall gets roasted. Prior to that game he had played about 2 hours of footy in near 6 months. If its an ego problem he has to watch with him then i could possibly understand but that public roasting was not cool.

Must be a media thing, although it sounds as tho the whole team really copped it going by the statements I've read describing how they appeared after the game.

Coach Shines' threats, words etc no longer carry a threat
He is past his use by date with us
Last yr was evidence his methods don't work
This yr is further evidence
Our best 1,6,7,9 combo is up there with the best in the comp
Only Melbourne can match us on that front
We have a top 4 squad yet are battling in 8th so to me that is again underachievement

I thought McDonnell was horrid yesterday, he blew 2 easy tries purely because he was playing flat in a deep backline. Schoolboy error, he should've learnt from the first time he made that mistake, instead, he re-offended.

Then there's the catch he took away from Hodgson, when Hodgo was positioned well and waiting for the kick, McDonnell was running across. Why didn't he look to see where the fullback was? If he's a fullback, then don't put him on the wing.

Morris was cod ordinary, it was very encouraging to see him come from the field after 50 minutes. In the last half hour I think the Tigers scored 4 tries to 1.

You can't tell me that's not sending a message.

Marshall was very very quiet all game, Farah wasn't too bad, nothing brilliant, but I believe both of them weren't expecting to play a big role.

I expect them to both be a bit more confident and involved in the next game though.

Tuiaki needs to learn how to catch, Collis did nothing in attack or defence. It seemed that Lawrence and Hodgson were the only members of the back 6 actually doing a lot of work.

And didn't the team pick up a gear in attack when Head ran onto the field. The tempo lifted and the attack was just a bit quicker, which was the main reason why the Tigers were able to run away with the match.

Collis has been disappointing thus far this year IMO - quiet in attack, making a few mistakes in defence. Hope he (and Tuiaki for that matter) get back to form soon.

A season of running onto morris hospital balls has probably knocked the stuffing out of him (collis). Does anyone else watch TNT in the warm up ? He is guaranteed to drop 1 or 2 easy catches cold (usually after they bounce off his shoulders). I get a very nervy feeling his hands are gonna cost us big time at some point this yr

And MU, the Junior Burger fan club are all over the fact he only f**ked up 4 times this week and has halved his f**k up average.

A thought...

Sheens could well be trying to get the media to alter their perceptions of Benji a bit by giving him such a public serve.

His celebrity status just doesn't suit him anymore. He has the talent to make a difference but he is hardly the golden boy of the league at the moment, and the sooner the media hounds get this straight the better it will be for Marshall's game...

I don't think the media have a boner over him anymore like they did in 2005.

He's spent too many weeks injured, hasn't had a full season since the grand final, and quite simply put, hasn't demanded nor deserved any media acclaim.

This talk by Sheens about Benji's defence being ordinary is a joke. Benji's defence has always been sh*t. There's no need to try and make him a defender. The less defence he does, the more energy he'll have for us in attack, which is a much better thing.

Lockyer can't tackle for sh*t either yet the media blow their load about him.
I prefer a 5/8 who can light a generation up rather than a tackling machine
Luke williamson can tackle and can play 5/8 ... who would you all rather have in your 6 jersey

While they might not be cocking their load over him as much as they used to, the mere mention of his name will still get a headline in the sports pages. Maybe Sheens is trying to manipulate a situation which will allow Marshall to make a comeback from injury without the media treating him like he has something to prove...
