i think a lot of the young guns want short term contracts--because if a couple of new teams arrive in 2006,they see pots of gold--the old supply and demand thing.I think you will find its starting to push their prices up already--Risky buissness--but i do think we could afford to loose a couple--because i think their are plenty comming through the system--but Benji because he is the future and Skando because he is the soul of the jv--are MUST SIGNINGS

Certainly not what you want when you are about to sign a contract is to have a game like that.
As I have stated before that until Benji gets that Touch footy style about him out of his game and stops stepping every time he touches the ball he is going to find the transition difficult.His tackling has to improve as well.
I know that he tried hard at times to take the line on a bit more often but he just found himself drifting across field and was a constant easy target for the Storm's sliding defence.
I think he will get there but before he is a week in week out performer.That might not be till possibly the end of next year sometime. #-o

As for the Central Coast or Gold Coast possibilities - we as a JV must oppose any moves towards expansion - as it was solely on the grounds of a 14 team comp that we merged in the first place!!

Your damn right there,the Magpie did'nt sell it's arse to have some new made up team in the comp.Called the the fluffy duck's or whatever.

And we must wrap up Heighnington for several years....I feel he'll be one of our regular first graders from possibly next year but definitely '06 and onwards, providing he's still here. Being from the CC he'd be a great pick up for them if they got the nod......he could be targetted.
