Lee Hagiapantelis was interviewed by Vossy on the radio this morning and explained the situation making it very clear. He explained without emotion, just the facts with his legal hat on.
He said - Any change in ownership can only be done if the shareholders decide to sell. Wests Ashfield own 90% of the JV, Balmain Tigers own 10%. So the only way any ownership change could occur would be if Wests Ashfield decided to sell a portion. He then quoted Simon Cook as saying that Wests were not interested in selling.
PS - Not 100% certain on this point but I don't think Balmain can sell their 10% as it was gifted to them by Wests Ashfield and they can't sell without Wests having first right of refusal.
