What he lacks in defence makes up for in attack, as u said very hard to stop, something we lack in the backs!

There's two main components of being a good footy player. One is attack. The second is attacking. There's no real positive in being good at one if you're useless in the other. Not saying Idris isn't a good centre. But because of his defence he's nowhere near the best centre in the game.

Idris isn't that great. He's quite slow off the mark and the kind of player Smith can easily handle in defence if he is on song. Let's remember Reddy is a lot smaller and he owned him in the prelim in '09 just by tough defence.
Idris is far from the best centre in the game, he is quite a lazy player when you see him in action live at the ground (ANZ Stadium last year), rather than just the highlights reel.

A good defensive centre will simply crowd and stop him before he gets momentum up. So will a good second rower defending wide. Smith is capable of this, as is Reddy. Loko probably isn't...

If Usaiale is out and Loko on the wing, he won't be marking him.

It's still over a week away from Idris, though people are talking up Loko for future a centre spot.

Wing he could probably handle (so long as he's done his homework on positioning), centre in first grade I think will be a reach defensively.

Barty, if Loko has the X factor he will rise to the occasion. Just like Rowan Keating saw something special buried away in Altiyan Childs, a singer who could not remember lyrics to the song he was singing, went with him and stuck by him until he become the winner of the x factor, I liken this process with players like Loko. Maybe SK/Arthur's are seeing/feeling something special in Loko and are now going to give him that chance by pushing him onto the big stage where he can unlock that NRL potential buried away underneath his youth & inexperience. Connecting with the NRL experience that will make or break him, confidence from SK & Arthur's can do wonders for players like Loko. I'm excited for Loko and will support him all the way as he unfolds into the player he dreams to be. A star is on the horizon and I look forward to enjoying the experience as it climbs to join with all the great stars that shine over our life-experiences. Welcome Loko.
