To make your wishlist mine, I'd move BMM to 11, and add Latu to the bench. Manu is just a shadow of what he used to be.

2nd team needs another Prop on the bench. Don't feed me the shit about Manu and Idris being Props cos they aren't

I would be giving young Robert Jennings a run, he is good enough already.

Peachey will not start.

I know Ivan has very, very high expectations of Robert.

I still see Peachey at No.6, I think he and Sowie would cause all kinds of dramas for other sides.

This isn't my Round 1 side, this is where I'd like to see us build towards (finals 2015, Round 1 2016 kind of thing):

1. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
2. Josh Mansour
3. Waqa Blake
4. Dean Whare
5. George Jennings
6. Matt Moylan
7. Jamie Soward
8. Jeremy Latimore
9. James Segeyaro
10. Sam McKendry
11. Bryce Cartwright
12. Jamal Idris
13. Elijah Taylor

14. Tyrone Peachey
15. Lewis Brown
16. and 17. Ben Murdoch Maisila / Sam Anderson / Reegan Campbell-Gillard / Leilani Latu / Sika Manu (no particular order, can't really decide without seeing them all get a decent run in first grade)

Trent Merrin if we land him obviously nails down a spot in the pack. Leaving those guys fighting for one position. Merrin would be my starting front rower, playing big minutes and being our standout front rower by miles. Don't really care who he pushes back to the bench.

Not sure when or if Moylan will ever move to the halves with us. But I'd love to atleast see him get a few games there in 2015 with view to it being permanent in 2016. Then try and groom Api Korisau to be his partner for 2017 onwards. We need some sort of plan like this for life after Jamie Soward.

A big reason behind moving Moylan and Idris from the backline is opening up spots for Blake and Jennings who are just too talented to ignore. We then have to somehow find space for Robert Jennings aswell. But maybe he could come in for Josh Mansour when his contract is up.

My side would be:

1. Moylan
2. DWZ
3. Idris
4. Whare
5. Mansour
6. Wallace
7. Soward
8. McKendry
9. Segeyaro
10. Kite
11. Brown
12. Cartwright
13. Taylor

14. Latimore
15. Peachey
16. Docker
17. BMM/Manu

Blake, Jennings and others pushing can be blood around rep games/injuries/suspension. Depending on fitness they may even get their chance come round 1 and if they have blinders, may very well retain those spots.

Don't know enough about the guy we picked up from the Sharks.

I guess it depends on the offseason these guys have. I am a big fan of Yeo, who gets overlooked by the majority. If he has bulked up over the offseason he could be a big chance to make the 17 for his utility value.

Yep, I named Docker in my 17. Go easy on me people.

What are you going to do with Docker off the bench? A lot of Taylor's worth is that he can go the full game without much of a drop off, probably no drop off with just a 10min break. Docker out wide would be gross. So I guess you'd have to play Docker in the middle and push Taylor out wide for about half the game. Really, really don't like that, for mine a lot of Taylor's worth is also his linking from the middle to the halves and edge forwards. Unfortunately it might be what happens.

4. Whare

6. Soward

11. Peachy
12. Cartwright
13. Taylor

14. BMM

Blake probably still won't appear for a couple of months I'd think. Although when he gets promoted we might have some headaches.

Dockers not in there but I don't hate him or anything. Won't be surprised or even really upset to see him in there, but it means someone else missing out. He might initially fill Cartwright's place until IC decides he's ready (he loves the slow and gradual approach).

We've still got some pretty excellent depth, hey.

Sucks that major injuries seem to hit our young players at exactly the wrong time (e.g., George Jennings last season, Blake this, Peachy and Cartwright just as they were close to nailing long-term starting spots etc.)

Manu has played prop before, played prop in the trial and wants to play prop, but if you say

I do say so. Manu doesn't have the mass, The motor or the leg strength to be an effective prop. Manu is more suited as an edge runner, isolating edge defenders and linking with his centre. Front row is completely different. Hitting Three men at the same time and having the leg strength to drive past the advantage line is what makes a good prop. Manu lacks that imo. I'm hapoy to be proven wrong though

Doesn't have the mass?

Latu - 190cm and 120kg.
RCg - 195cm and 110kg.
Manu - 182cm and 110kg.
Latimore - 192cm and 109kg.
Kite - 190cm and 105kg.
Plum - 187cm and 104kg.
Anderson - 181cm and 100kg.

He is our second heaviest front row option along with RCG. Has far more weight to throw around then Kite, Plum and Anderson. He isn't quiet as tall, but his weight and a lower centre of gravity can help him push defenders in hit ups.

BMM wasn't on our page under NRL or Reserves. But I think he would be around the 110kg mark.

I think Moylan needs another full season at fullback, getting more and more involved from the back, including kicking. Likewise, DWZ could use some seasoning on the wing and Id send him down for a few months to play NSW Cup fullback giving JenningHJennings an opportunity.

Prop will depend on how these rule changes play out. If they have the desired effect and speed the game up then lighter props like Anderson or guys like Manu could be ideal.

Id go
Moylan
Mansour
Blake
Whare
DWZ->G Jennings
Soward
Wallace
Mckendry
Anderson
Cartwright
Peachey
Taylor
Idris
Brown
Koroisau
Latimore
