A solid finisher who was the NRL leading try scorer season before last.
We know this, and he didn't start scoring tries regularly until Whare was moved to centre and Moylan fullback. We gained a ball playing fullback and a classy centre. The winger on the end of those plays benefitted from this.

Simmons did well outside of Whare. But he doesn't go close to leading try scorer without Whare, while IMO almost any winger outside Whare would have been near the top or outright first outside of him.

If there's another thread for this then it's old.

Wishlist.
1. Moylan
2. DWZ
3. Blake
4. Whare
5. Mansour
6. Peachey
7. Soward
8. McKendry
9. Segs
10. Plum
11. Manu
12. Cartwright
13. Taylor

14. BMM
15. Lats
16. Idris
17. Brown

Realistic hope.
1. Moylan
2. DWZ.
3. Blake
4. Whare
5. Mansour
6. Soward
7. Wallace
8. Kite
9. Segs
10. McKendry
11. Cartwright
12. Peachey
13. Taylor

14. BMM
15. Manu
16. Idris
17. Brown

Well round 1 has taken care of itself. Great to see the 2 debutants have solid starts to their careers.

My team from mid season to the finals and beyond would look like this :

Moylan
DWZ
Mansour
Whare
Idris
Wallace
Soward
McHendry
Segs
Lats
Cartwright
Peachey
Taylor

BMM [back row and prop cover]
Anderson [Prop and lock cover]
RCG [Prop]
Brown [Back row,Hooker and centre cover]

I don't see Idris ever handling the workload our current second rowers get through, also don't think Blake is diciplined enough yet for FG [IMO]
Can't wait to see BMM and Anderson cements spots in the rotation, both have big work ethic and fast leg speed and strong defenders.
There is no back row like ours for speed, skill and youth. Good for years if we can keep them all.

Manu is past his best, we should stop thinking he has more to offer, same for Kite and Docker unfortunately. And Plummy is just worn out, great bloke but hurting.

Kite didn't look worn out on Sunday. We all bag him a lot but that was a great game from him. I think if we manage his workload, maybe play him off the bench he could still be a good player for us. Idris doesn't need to play the big minutes the other guys do. We have 4 backrowers who could go 80. We just need 40 great minutes from him.

Blake is more disciplined than DWZ was, and no worse than Jennings. I also think he was more influential than both.

Long term, as in 2016 I'd like to see Mansour bulked up into the second row, and Idris there too, to make way for both Jennings on the wing and to replace Brown/Manu if we don't hold them. Basically this.

DWZ
Jennings
Whare
Blake
Jennings
Moylan
Soward
McKendry
Segs
Merrin
Peachy
Idris
Taylor

Cartwright
Mansour
BMM
Anderson/RCG/Lats

But Wallace is here till 16 so it won't happen like that.

I would swap Cartwright for Idris but other than that it looks good.

Is that a typo having Mansour in the centres and Jamal on the wing?

Sorry, my bad. no particular order in my list. Definately don't want to swap their positions.
I agree with the sentiments about Kites' 1st game and thought he went really well. Just don't see that in his game every week. Good luck to him, I would just start to phase him out mid season and bring RCG in to replace him for 2016. Great problem to have, everyone bags our forwards out but they get the job done, go forward and let our small guys cut loose.
Bring on the Titans !

You don't think Peachey and Cartwright should be in the team? But we can carry Jennings and Idris on the bench? Who the f**k is Farah? (hard to see how you could mix him up with Whare, or have you sacked him too?)

Give Fibroman a break he has some issues he is dealing with.

He has 'manlove' for Docker and Plum so no surprises he has them in his top side.

As for Robbie Farah in front of Dean Whare you can safely conclude he would have been somewhat inebriated at the time of his post and obviously meant his selection to be Whare. Amazing what a dozen schooners, couple of bottles of wine and some JD thrown in can do to the human mind.

See how Taylor does a lot of passing to other forwards and distributing to our halves, we miss that when Taylor has a rest and Manu covers in the middle, we'd lose that completely when Docker was in the field aswell as the offloads.

Yes, there was some alcohol involved prior to the post. I've always felt Robbie Farah should be playing out wide, and someone has to drop out of the side to make room for Docker and Plum.

I picked Peachy because he runs sideways too much and Cartwright pushes too many passes, so they are GOOOOOOOOOOORNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
