the likely 17 for the first round could be interesting with plum docker peachey having played very little not ideal against a monster pack like the bulldogs.I also think Andy Saunders may have gone ahead of Anderson in the pecking order

I think Moylan needs another full season at fullback, getting more and more involved from the back, including kicking. Likewise, DWZ could use some seasoning on the wing and Id send him down for a few months to play NSW Cup fullback giving JenningHJennings an opportunity.

Prop will depend on how these rule changes play out. If they have the desired effect and speed the game up then lighter props like Anderson or guys like Manu could be ideal.

Id go
Moylan
Mansour
Blake
Whare
DWZ->G Jennings
Soward
Wallace
Mckendry
Anderson
Cartwright
Peachey
Taylor
Idris
Brown
Koroisau
Latimore

+ Segeyaro.

One prop on the bench has been disastrous for us in the past.

Just saying Peachey is an Ideal benchie.

No need to start him with the bash and barge.....bring him on when the game opens a bit.

I also want to see Robert in blue this year, I truly rate him.

I see front row as a bit of a problem for us this year.

Kite and Plum past their best. McKendry can be a bit hot and cold. Latimore and Anderson are steady, but won't set the world on fire.

Which is why I don't see us finishing in the top 4.

Why not? We have the same front row as last year with exception of Tim Grant who barely got a run anyway.

I think a front row of Latimore, McKendry, BMM and Manu (with competition from Latu, RCG and Anderson) would go well. Has a good mix of size, experience and work ethic. It's not intimidating like the Bulldogs pack, but they will do the job asked of them and our damage can come from the likes of Cartwright, Peachey, Brown, Idris and Mansour.

Most of our guys except for Latimore had below average years by their standards. They still did a good enough job with the help of Mansour and Idris to give us a shot at the grand final despite injuries. Merrin solves the problem either way, but I think this group could still be very effective playing a fast game with a lot of movement.

We don't have the flashiest front row in the comp, but they did a job last year and think they will do so again this year.

If Sika gets a run in the front row, he would have to be the lightest prop in the comp. He has trimmed down so much, on Saturday he looked like he would weigh about 90 kilos.

I don't really get the worry about our FR stocks. Most of the sides (exception of Souths last year) that have won the comp over the last 5 - 8 years have had pretty standard front rows. When you have outside backs and fringe forwards who can penetrate, your FR doesn't need to be that great. In saying that, we have a heap of potential coming through with RCG, Latu, Saunders & BMM, plus some honest toilers who won't let us down.

1.Moylan
2.DWZ
3.Idris
4.Whare
5.Mansour
6.Soward
7.Wallace
8.McKendry
9.Segeyaro
10.Latimore
11.Peachey
12.Brown
13.Taylor

14.Latu
15.Manu / Api (dependent on opponent)
16.Cartwright
17.BMM

I must be the only one here who thinks the coach will select Kite and Plum, just like he did in last year's finals.

Frog I think we all know Kite is a certainty. But this isn't about the team we expect to be named, it's about us giving our top 17. Obviously we will all have differing opinions.

Although the one thing agreed on by nearly everyone appears to be no Brent Kite.

I want both Peach and Cartwright to start but if one is to start on the bench why are you guys picking Bryce? Out of the 2 he's far better suited to the tough first 15mins.

My best bears no resemblance to anyone else's or Ivan's.

As far as I am concerned it is time to be bold and pick the future.

It isn't going to happen in the short term so I'll keep my best 17 to myself.
