Roosters make the best bench. I remember one game their bench was........

14. Wing
15. Morley
16. Crocker
17. Flannery

This was at some stage during the year when guys like Tupou, and Cadic got promoted off the bench pre-game.

It was the game we smashed the Panthers. Three internationals and one SOO player.. not bad. To be fair though Wing and Morley are usually in the starting line up. It just so happens that Sticky occassionally protects certain impact players when he expects a smash up derby at the start of games. You might recall he did the same thing against the Panthers in rd 20 last year.

Didn't he also do it in the grand final??

I'd say the best penrith bench would be:

14. Ross
15. Pritchard
16. Rodney
17. Galea

At the moment. I don't think Swain will play again, and quite frankly, whaitura is useless. I'd much rather someone with utility value like galea coming on who can play centres and the backrow.

Rodney covered centre pretty well in the GF

I highly doubt that he'll make it ahead of Vagana, Toopi, V Anderson or Ropati for the tri-series.

BTW heres the warriors standered bench:

Epalahami Lauaki
Earvarn Tuimavavue
Wairangi Koopu
Lance Hohaia

14. Kite
15. Sims
16. Creagh
17. Withers

pretty sure you will find that kite has developed into a starting frontrower now. also withers has moved into the starting hooker position and riddell is in the second row.

bulldogs bench in my opinion is the strongest in the competition.

the panthers bench is good enough for me

14.pritchard
15. rodney
16. swain
17. galea
18. wrigley
19. crossman

Forgot to mention George Carmont i think would get a call up before Whatuira.

Also, i think the chooks have the best bench, followed by the dogs.

I like the Bulldogs bench, very very closely followed by the Roosters bench.

Both pure class.

In actual fact, I think most clubs have fairly good benches which goes to show there is enough depth for that 16th team.

I dont know that they would have Kite start over Bailey or Ryles.... 2 of the 4 best props in the game (with Webcke and O'Meley..)

Maybe Kite in the backrow....?

Damn im looking at the depth some clubs have - I just dont understand how the Knights, with one of the best nurseries in the world, are unable to build any depth whatsoever..... we must have the worst admin (and greediest players...) in the comp.

My vote goes to the Broncos for best bench, over Dogs then Rooters.

(my) fully fit Knights bench ('04) -

14. Witt
15. Brown / Tanner
16. M Kennedy
17 M Parsons

*sigh* - we havent been close to full fitness all year.... #-o

Whatuira is awesome - I was devasted when I heard he'd signed with Wests. From memory he's NEVER had a poor game. Good defender and decent attack. He'll go well with Wests - they are a team on the up.

Whatuira is solid - nothing else
He is like De Vere - if he didn't play for a good club, no one would know who he was

Our best bench is
14.Kite
15.Sims
16.Creagh/Poore
17.Withers

Whoever the dumbarse that said Withers was starting hooker and Pig was in the backrow is a fool. They did it for two games. And kite wouldnt start ahead of Bailey and Ryles.

Our top side injury free is frightening;
1.Hornby(NSW rep)
2.Blacklock(Aus Rep)
3.Gasnier (NSW,AUS Rep)
4.Cooper (NSW rep)
5.Simmonds
6.Barrett (NSW, Aus rep)
7.Head
8.Bailey (NSW, Aus rep)
9.Riddell (City Rep)
10.Ryles (NSW, AUS rep)
11.Thompson (City Rep)
12.Young
13.Timmins (NSW, Aus rep)

14.Kite (NSW rep)
15.Sims (Jnr AUS)
16.Creagh/Poore
17.Withers

I reckon one of the top 3 teams on paper.

I reckon too. I also reckon Blacklock in current form wouldn't make the top 17, and that your non-rep players have been your best (with Hornby...)
