Did nothing for the blues this year or last year gower did more in 1 game then he did in 5 for the blues....

whats he done for the australian team??
he's best use for the Roosters and nsw is to cover for any injured players looked at the roosters this year playing 5/8 for the retired freedy..

he is a fill in player not a impact player...
Yep that's right. Wingy is just a fill in...no ability to be classified as an impact player whatsoever.

Honestly people....

Wing was better at Souths, I remember the try he scored against Cronulla were he weaved through about 7 players to score in 99. He's an excellent ball runner but I think he offers minimal impact off the bench in recent times.

This poll is all about timing. If it was done after round 5 or 6, most would be voting for Rod Jensen.

Forget the resume Tommy, and have a look at form. Widders is not only the best benchie, but on form he's close to the best in the game!

No current representative centre in Australia (King excluded - he repped on the wing) is having a season like Widders.

Tommy, I'm waiting for a "west is best" thread for you to try and prove that Bondi is near Dubbo.

Widders by a country mile.

Just to tell you all, he's been doing this for us since 2003 however we haven't had a good team until this year and he hasn't been THIS good, he's been great impact value all along though.

Wing = Overrated. He had impact in his first Origin series when nobody really expected that much from him, now they're used to him and he offers nothing, very lucky to make rep sides IMO.

If that's the case, why did many Parra fans question his inclusion in first grade many times over the last few years?

Widders on current form would be the best of those choices, but it depends what criteria you want to use. You could also include how they lift the side when they come on and make an instant impact, like SBW has when he's not been on crutches, or Sullivan who week in week out lifts the sharks and they almost instantly gain momentum from him coming on. You could also put into benchie forwards who do an excellent job off the bench and keep the momentum going which the starting forwards have started.

First of all, why is Wing an option? He's only a benchie in rep footy.

And secondly, considering he is an option how can people not be voting for him? I mean Widders is good but Wing is an Australian rep.

Doesnt surprise me though....90% of fans are so fickle and have no idea. A large majority of fans now consider Johns the best footy player in the world....3 months ago nearly everyone said Lockyer was the best. That is inspite of the fact that Joey, injuries aside, always was a class above.

Similarly, Widders plays some good games off the bench and all of a sudden he's by far and away the best benchie in the game! Better than Craig Wing!

Oh well, give it a few weeks, do the same poll again, and im sure a new flavour of the month will have arrived.

I kinda agree with this
