What about Lockyer. He led queensland to an origin win and has been unbelievable for Brisbane. His workrate has been totally insipirational.

I think you'd have to say Kennedy. I think that Schifcoksfe and Price are the only two particularly close to him.

What about Bobcat ? Just wait and see when the Dally M team of the year gets announced. If it goes on which captain has the highest points than Clinton will be odds on otherwise I think Ryan is just about a special.

Andrew Ryan. I'd give it to Melbourne but they have co-captains.

So you are saying that whoever is leading the comp you would give it to their captain ? What if Melbourne's captain was doing an ordinary job as a captain ?

Sorry mate but thats a pretty silly statement.

Not at all mate. For a team to be 6 points clear at the top the captain must be doing the best job. It is unfortnate that Cameron Smith is not the full time captain. He'd get this award easily. As a result I'd give it to Ryan as I think he has done more than the other ones, especially since his sacking from Origin. It depends on the cicumstances. I wouldn't necessarily give the team coming first the captain of the year. Last year I wouldn't have done that. Notable mention has to be Cayless. Throughout all the down times this year he has stood tall. Close 2nd for mine behind Ryan. I'd have Smith in 3rd.

If it wasn't for Schif's Qld Red incident Id say he was the clearest cut choice of the lot for me.

But now that I think about it, he is wearing his heart on his sleeve even more (if thats possible) since signing so Ill stick with him.
