No I mean theirs a quality drop off after them. watch a bit of super league and apart from maybe Westwood, O'loughlin and possibly Wilkin, and guys like farell and sculthorpe in the past, theirs not many outstanding British forwards. The fact that someone like eorl cabtree can make the national side 13 times tells you something

You have missed five good ones in Chris Hill (Warrington), Daryl Clark (Warrington), Alex Walmsley (St Helens), James Roby (St Helens), and Kyle Amor (St. Helens). Walmsley was a subject of interest for NRL clubs recently, but he has just decided to stay at St Helens.

The likely English squad for the 2017 World Cup will include the following forwards:

George Burgess, Tom Burgess, Chris Hill, James Graham, Alex Walmsley, James Roby, Daryl Clark, Ben Westwood, Elliot Whitehead, Sam Burgess, Sean O'Loughlin, and perhaps two more back rowers.

I'll be honest and say I haven't seen much of Walmsley and amor, Clarke and Roby are good hookers and hill is a decent prop but their not quite outstanding yet. It may seem wrong to judge international players like this, but how many British forwards would make origin sides if they were eligible? In the last 15 years maybe only s.burgess, g.burgess, graham, morley, ellis or farell

I'd rate Peacock in his prime ahead of any of those players apart from Graham and Sam. Fielden would also have been a shoe-in. There are probably a ton of others who would've made it but I'm talking about legit world class players. I don't think the standard for Origin is really all that high when blokes like Mick Weyman and Justin Poore can make it.
What about that Flower fellow, he looks double hard
Not English.

Yeah but you don't get points for depth. You could name another 3 quality Australian packs but that doesn't matter.

That's a quality Aussie pack. But I'd take the English forwards, if we're not including the hooker. I'm sure Hodgson is quality but it's Cameron Smith we're talking about.

So how come you cannot beat us when the game is won in the Fwds? Love the Poms pack on paper but I'd still bank our current weak pack to top your guys who are still playing. Who is your hooker?

You don't even know that James Roby and Daryl Clark are the two best hookers in England?

Sam Burgess by lengths. No insult to guys like Ellis and Morley either...Burgess is just a freak of nature.

Wanted to vote for Harvey 'The Beekeeper' Howard but since that option wasn't offered, went with Graham. Sam Burgess was an amazing athlete, but Graham has more to his game, and more to his persona. He'll be a formidable coach one day while Sammy is reliving glory days in some Ibiza bar.
And FWIW Ellis was always massively underrated.

I want to change my vote to Mike Cooper after last Friday night's game.

i was wondering if someone was going to mention the big lump after his performance on Friday. The lad had a great game. I was starting to like him.

Then when someone asked him who his kids would support St George or Warrington
He said "They'll be supporting Manchester United, then its up to them if they want to follow NRL or Super League"

Back on the plonker list you big daft wanker
