Anasta is a Lock foward. Not a 5/8. The best Lock foward in the game.

Your joking right? Hopefully you just forgot about Kennedy, Timmins, Ricketson, Sattler and hell I'll even throw in Wagon.

Those are just off the top of my head the ones that are better than Anasta.

Lockyer for sure.

He'll go down as the Greatest Fullback to play the game, and probably the Greatest five-eigth aswell. Lockyer will be bigger than fittler.
Did you see Langlands and Churchill play the game? Considering Chruchill is regarded by many as the greatest ever to play the game i wouldn't say Lockyer is better. And i'd be very surprised if he finsihed his career above Wally Lewis or Freddy.

Like i said, as a FB he will go down as one of the greatest. But as a 5/8 i cant see him surpassing Freddy, who was won a premiership, captained Aus and NSW plenty of times and starred in the position for over a decade.

Like Magpie Nick said, Freddy was the form 5/8 last year by the length of the randwick straight and if not for a shoulder injury, would have been player of the year for sure. All that at 31. So if Locky is playing that well at 31 then he will have a slight chance of being considered a greater 5/8 than Freddy.

I hate the Broncos but have to say Lockyer is THE best player in the world with Joey sidelined. Im hoping that Joey comes back to the Knights and challenges for that position, but for some reason I have a bad feeling....

Freddy is ALWAYS in vintage form though - that try against the dragons was up there with his best!!!!!

I'm gonna get shouted down here, but I voted for Barrett. I see glimpses of Laurey Daley in his play from time to time, and I rate Daley as one of my top three players in my living memory.

Lockyer needs to stand the test of time in the number six before he overtakes. The extra defense might start taking it's toll later in the season.

Fitler is brilliant, and despite the weekend's match, he has a lot of quiet games.
