He has an absurd fascination with Luke Covell....maybe he is carrying his child?

To put Covell in the same breath as up and coming stars like those is ludicrous, to have him above great goalkickers like El Masri, Hodgson, Johns(as much as I hate him), Schifcofske, hell, even Luke Burt is more of a proven kicker! That's even worse!

BBSF...here are some names to remember as future stars with a lot more promise than Covell

SBW, Benji Marshall, Anthony Tupou, Tim Smith, Kade Snowden, Greg Inglis, John Williams, Blake Green, Jerome Ropati, Todd Carney, Berrick Barnes, Liam Fulton, Bronson Harrison, Brett Stewart, Jamie Soward and there are a lot more, that's all I could think of off the top of my head. ALL are going to be better than Covell by lightyears. So get your hand off it.

Are you Kidding BBSF, Covell Couldnt make it into a tigers team with Moodie and Richards in Front of him. He didnt even play Wing in Premier League. He played 2nd row. as for his kicking can even land one 40m straight in front. Hodgo should have taken the kick would make it 19 in a row

the 5 most talked about and wanted young guns in the competition right now are marshall, sonny bill, covell , hunt and tupou. in 5 years from now they will all be on at least 400 000, and carrying their countries (thats if covell and tupou get picked in australis stupid selection policy)

Can you please explain to us all BBSF why Covell is so damn great?
I'm a Sharks fan i've been to every home game this season and the away game at Parra. Covell in the vast majority of these games played average with maybe a few good plays mixed in but surely this doesn't warrant being picked for Origin!

Alright he's a decent kicker but what else does he have that makes him so much superior to all other wingers in the NRL?

I suppose you want Covell to become the fourth Sharks Immortal also?

Luke Covell, as a kicker is one of the very best going around- he would be on par with Fitzgibbon, Johns, and El Masri in terms of goal kicking ability. No-one can deny that. As a player, well he has a lot to work on and would not be in a large proportion of other NRL sides as a winger! Hey he got ran down by a second-rower for crying out loud! :roll:

Lockyer is deadset the worst kicker in the comp, he'd struggle in Flegg.

Hodgson, Schifcofske, Covell, El Masri, Hannay are top class, same can't be said for the rest.

he is without a doubt the slowest winger going around, a good goal kicker but thats it, he is average in defence, he is less than average in attack and his is piss poor with pace. If he wasnt such a good kicker the bloke would struggle to make a PL team!!!
He is average and will never........ EVER play for anything bar his club, and at times he is gonna struggle to do that

Stacey Jones is currently third highest scorer this year and has been goal kicking extremely well.

Meanwhile Schifcofske is the highest scorer this year (he is 8 points infront of bbsf's beloved covell) and 2nd to I believe Brett Hodgson in kicking 85% (22 of 26)

Correct. But I'm sure Schifcofske has been mentioned in most top 10's.

Stace hasn't even had a mention, yet his goal kicking has been particularly good and he is number 3 on the points table this year. Bit harsh not to have him rated in the top 10 for this season on that form.

Wamough is a very good chance of a city jersey and only young as well. Much ahead of covell - add stewart to that list as well above covell.

But Covell isnt even young he is 24 this year. So in 5 years he will be 29 and in my opinion a bit old to be on 400 000 a year. He isn't even any good. And to put him in the category of the other youngsters is ridiculous. I can mention a billion players who will be better than him in 5 years. yes he does the job . sorry to dissapoint you but he hasnt turned the sharks around , its liikes of gallen and nutley and hutch. and the thing that has turned the sharks around is there never say die defence not covell.
well we dont need to worry like last year about getting the extra 2 points .
but if any one player has sparked the sharks it would be dykes
