Best Live Band

I'm lucky in that having lived in Toronto for 18 months I've had the chance to see just about all of my favourite bands/performers.

I've also seen Dylan, McCartney, etc.

I forgot to mention Guided By Voices. I was in Dayton on business and hoped I'd get a chance to see them there but I ended up seeing them twice at @Newtown.

Having seen the likes of Pink Floyd, U2, Rolling Stones, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Bruce Sprinsgteen & the E-Street Band, and Dire Straits, I'd have to say the best live band I've seen is none of those.

I saw The Stranglers in the UK in the 80s. Brilliant stuff, women ripping their gear off and getting on stage, lots of audience interaction (in addition to the said women ripping their gear off), and heaps of energy.
