Besides the wins over the dogs, the win over Souffs and Moses FG to seal the win against the Riff, the highlight for me was seeing Wiremu and Carty do really well when given their chances.

In a season full of lowlights, we still had quite a few things to smile about.

1. Smashing the Dogs.
2. Smashing them a second time.
3. The teriffic win against Souths. Unexpected and utterly superb.
4. Our last game against Penrith. Unfortunately too late to save our season, but it was a hell of a way to go out.
5. Golden point win against Penrith. Was our first win of the season and did it in dramatic style.
6. First half against the Dolphins. 42 points in one half. Unbelievable. We won't talk about the second half.
7. Flogging Manly. Always a good feeling.
8. Watching our team run straight through Kalyn Ponga for a bunch of tries, making them rethink their ideas of putting him in the defensive line.
9. Watching the Dogs lose 16 (hopefully 17) games this year.

Well, to be fair, one of them (this week) should have been a nice chance to freshen up before finals so we farked that one up.....and during our first bye our star #6 went and got himself suspended for basically a third of the season so we farked that one up too.... one out of three ain't bad.....

I still enjoyed those weeks more than anything we dished out during the season.

Our only really good games were against questionable opposition.

It was an abysmal season.

Not a great year but:

1. Beating Manly at Commbank without our halves
2. Smashing the Knights, probably the last time the Knights were bad this year
3. Beating Penrith twice, especially the last game, outstanding performance
4. Beating Dogs twice
5. Beating Souths at Allianz, all the talk of Souths being a premiership contender. I reckon that stuffed Souths season
6. Hopgood. Been an outstanding buy for us and can only get better.
7. Cartwright, probably his best ever season
8. SG Ball winning and the Flegg team doing well. A lot of good players coming through.
