I actually havnt watched too many movies this year, but I enjoyed the movie 'Saw'. 'White Chicks' I also enjoyed, not sure if that is this year though...

Like I said, not many movies lol, so i'll go with 'Saw'.

White Chicks? Bwahahahahahahahaha

Howl's Moving Castle was a highlight at the Sydney FF as Miyazaki is my favourite director. Even though I found it quite disappointing, it's still an amazing film.

Fantastic Four and The Island were recent ones, and I was pleasantly surprised with both.

I can't remember anything else I've seen this year. No doubt it'll come to me later.

Coach Carter was pretty good considering i dont really enjoy basketball movies too much. Also Charlie and the chocolate factory is a great watch.

Constantine was this year...but White Chicks may have been late 2004?...

Anyway for me its between Rots and Sin City...I'll go with Rots. I have yet to see many good films this year, got a lot of catching up to do. Melinda & Melinda aint bad either now that I think of it.

The Island was ok. Fantastic Four gets my vote for worst film of the year, if not all time. Truly abysmal.

My vote goes to Batman Begins.

I'm really surprised you feel that way about FF.

I thought it did what it did competently, but that's all.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't crap.

A totally weak year as far as movies are concerned. Batman Begins and Sin City were good, they wouldn't make my top 5 for last year though.

SIn city was good because Jessica Alba played a stripper

Even though she seemed to barely be in the movie!

Wait til you see Stealth.

My best movie would be sin city, followed by batman begins and constantine.

To me, it is no contest.

"The Assassination of Richard Nixon"

How this Sean Penn film did not get more publicity is well beyond me. It is his best work (and that is saying a lot) and should be a hot contender for an Oscar.

This is not a political thriller. If you liked "Taxi Driver", you will love this. The two movies have a very similar theme, without being carbon copies of each other.

"Sin City" is a very unlucky second. If it was shown last year, it would have been my movie of 2004.

Has anyone seen The Machinist? It stars Christian Bale, and most critics I've read rate it above Batman Begins.
