Back on track, there has to be a special mention for blokes whose nicknames became so entrenched that their first names were forgotten. Blokes like Bunny Reilly - who was probably the bloke it happened to most.

Ian "Bunny" Pearce was another.

Redcliffe 70's.....

The most original i know is Wayne Kerr, featured in the 08 world cup for Ireland

He isn't a first grader but Kristian Wanka is prob the best from the 20's.

The most unique hands down would come from the 20's and Nrl in Omar Sleimankhel and Fui Fui Moi Moi lucky to be any more of them worldwide

This has degenerated into "pick on Islander names thread"

That said, what if Rueben Wiki married Mary Pedia?

BTW Cheers Always. Forgot Dallas. Legend. He should be the 9th immortal after Liubinskas. Both shat on Heather for talent. Dallas and his 21 hotdogs on the Kangaroo tour - classic.

Gotta disagree on Bear - we always referred to him as "Bobbo".
Freddy, Alfie, Joey, Merkiny..............
