This. His performance in Magnolia was amazing.

Cruise is a great, charismatic actor. And he's been brilliant in a number of movies.

Collateral was certainly one of them. Tropic Thunder, too. Two movies which show his range as an actor.

I think his clear best performance was in "Born on the 4th of July". Other standout performances are in Colleteral and Tropic Thunder.

My favourite Cruise film is "Top Gun". It gets a lot of replays on my dvd player.
