lol And one of those administrators was Ribot. Most of the Perth players ended up in Melbourne because News gave Chris Anderson first refusal on all the stranded Reds and Mariners players.

Really? "Most" of Perth's players ended up in Melbourne? Who? I remember Kearns, Howe, and Geyer. Any others?

Wayne Evans, Paul Bell, Tristan Brady-Smith and John Wilshere were others I can recall... but that is beside the point. My point was that of all the players from Perth who ended in Melbourne, most of them were due to the priority status Anderson was granted.

Oh, apologies. I thought you typed "Most of Perth's players ended up in Melbourne". My mistake.

Matt King visited Melbourne when he was 9 with his parents, so he is a Melbourne junior.

No he's not a Melbourne junior. King started playing at seven years old for Casino Cougars in Northern NSW. In 2000 he was signed by Norths but quit in 2002 after an injury.

He came back to rugby league in 2003 and signed with Cronulla before moving to Brisbane Norths (Storms feeder at the time) in Queensland. Made his FG debut for Melbourne and hasn't looked back.

So unless you have any other information about his junior career in Victoria you're wrong. And I hardly think visiting Melbourne when he was 9 (how do you know BTW) means he's a Melbourne junior

Jeez, you have a go at Melbourne for claiming others who have at least lived in Victoria as juniors then you claim King as a Melbourne junior.

Oh, you were trying to be...um...funny...

Smith is a Victorian junior. The rest aren't Victorian juniors. I doubt Storm fans will claim otherwise.

Once the game starts there will be only two sets of supporters who will really be barracking - Melbourne and Manly.
But by all means, if it makes you all feel better, pick your team for the day and pretend you care.
