That's the go-to line but from what I understand, the pass to Morris should have been called regardless.

Morris to Pearce was suss too.

The Inglis 'controversy'..... lol.

The game came down to the last 15 mins. Klemmer, and only Klemmer owned those 15 mins.

QLDers are historically merkins.

Inglis was offside anyway, but the thing that annoys me...if he is tackled 1m out we don't go back. The refs are hopeless.

Yep. The adjudication of the game is fundamentally flawed right here.

A try scoring play will be looked at. A captains challenge in the situation you described would allow such a significant lead up play to be reviewed.

It brings up an interesting situation though. I'm a fan of the captains challenger and think it works great in the NYC. Let's say inglis gets tackled 1m from the line. Gallen asks for the captains challenge. Morgan/Myles are deemed to not Knock on and it's play on. Qld have lost all advantage of the break. NSW have now set the line with everyone onside when it should have been a massive advantage to them.

Obviously no scenirio is perfect but that could ruin the entire game.

I'm not familiar with the system, but is this how it works? (ie a captain can just call for the challenge in the middle of play?). Or do they play the set out until a stoppage and then challenge it?

I haven't watched much 20's but the only time I've seen it used it as scrums, or after tries (so stoppages in play).

Gerard Sutton was immense for NSW. Needs to be there in Brisbane if they have any hope of snatching the series.

Thats sour losers talk...whether you agree or not NSW were the better team on the night....and on the performance of Sutton the one big thing he missed was Hodges blatant swinging arm that caught Hoffman in the face ...end of story

I thought it was one of the best refereeing performances for a long time , finally got them apart.

I saw a "Patten" emerge last night that made me think that NSW would win the game, no matter what we would do last night. Thanks N(SW)RL!

Definitely the better team.
I really could do without the nine commentary, I feel like Gould just makes comments to stir the pot & evoke controversy with regard to vid ref & reffing decisions.

I also didn't like the tackle on Thurston, it was borderline but understand why it wasn't called.

The thing that shits me about the referees is they pick and choose when they want to assert themselves by enforcing the offside rule.

Spend 10 mins at the start of the game and blow the f**king pea out of your whistle until they get the hint, and they'll stop doing it.

Don't wait until the 59th Minute to start giving penalties for offside... they've been doing it all night and will continue to do it because the refs are a bunch of spineless flogs.

Agreed, it was so tit for tat too too - give Qld offside penalty, give NSW offside penalty. As soon as one team got one you knew the other would too. Must be hard to referee though
