The approach of trying to clear the boundary for 6 consecutive overs in the powerplay cost us too much this season, occasionally it came off and we hit 200+ but the time it didn't were embarrassing.

Once we lost a wicket or 2 we just needed to sit back and absorb some pressure and turn it back to get ourselves at least in the game, much like today. If we did what we did today in the games earlier in the season where we struggled to chase low totals, we would've qualified easily.

Lessons learned, I hope AB comes back next season. Although it's unlikely.

Ben Cutting needs to open the batting, bowling, keep, captain, run the drinks, roll the pitch and man the dagwood dog stand next year for the Heat to be a chance .

Lehmann should not be coach for another day. 7th is unacceptable with the roster he has. They need a new approach to the game. Lynn shoul pass on the captaincy as well...doesn't seem like a fierce competitior to me

Lol @ Scorchers, Renegades and Heat.

Truly screwed the pooch this season.

Thunder will win comp now. First ever from fifth. In off season, once Stars lost both bites of cherry, Victreads will whinge to change the format again.

When they got disgraced by the Renegades (the first time). McCullum was saying they have been having the same problems for two years, ie winning games when they have been well ahead

They probably need to make some tough calls on some players. Pierson was dropped as keeper, he really hasn't progressed for a few years now

Look at Dan Christian when at the Heat, was plod. Now some of us at times , particularly the season he had last year think he should be in discussion for the WC squad

Give Lehmann one more year with some new blood, recruit 4-5 new players at least. Let go some under performers

Dan Christian has been pretty poor this year imo.
Average of 12.8, 3 ducks and a High Score of 32* with the bat.
With the ball he only took 5 wickets at an average of 39.2 and an economy rate of 9.48

That's almost plodders xi stuff

Not talking specifically about this year, should have made that clearer, but more so when he left the Heat , that comfort zone a lot of the current players are in

won comps around the world, was brilliant last year. This year other than Webster, the whole renegades outfit has been poor for the first 75% of the comp

What happened to Lalor? Injured? Surely he wasn't dropped.

Edit: Shit just read he was dropped. Makes sense. A team full of inconsistent performers, drops their most consistent performer.

All 8 sides to make finals and any teams from Melbourne to get 5 chances in the finals series.

I’d have Brett Morris in before Milenko.
